Online Extravaganza ends December 2nd and more Birthday shares

Sunday 30 November 2014

It's not too late to take advantage of the deals that are part of the Online Extravaganza.  There will be more Doorbuster specials tomorrow - if they are as amazing as last week you don't want to miss out.  You can check them out at 11pm tonight by clicking here.

I shared some Birthday cards with you earlier in the week and have more to share.
The first card uses one of my favourite colour combinations - Pistachio Pudding and Soft Suede.  This was so quick and easy and I really like how it turned out.

For the next card I used the Large Polka Dot Embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot twice. Run it through once and then turn over the paper and move it down slightly to give the two different textures.  I love how this turned out.

Hope you check out the deals tomorrow.  I'll be placing an order on Monday so you can email me if you are interested in taking advantage of the deals!

Birthday Cards!

Tuesday 25 November 2014

I know everyone is thinking about Christmas, but I thought I'd change it up a little bit and share some ideas for birthday cards.  The cards I'm sharing have one thing in common (besides being created by amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrators) - the use of Stampin' Up! markers.  And the best bit is that the markers for the In Colours are on sale right now!

The first card uses vellum paper for both the flower and for the border.  The back of the flower is coloured with Lost Lagoon.  I love this card!

Beautiful card created by Ellie Blake
The next card has the candle and the liquid in the martini glass coloured.  Crystal Effects has been used over the liquid.  This picture doesn't do the card justice!
Amazing card created by Colleen Vassos
Check out the markers in the Online Extravaganza sale - 40% off - only $11.96 until December 2 (while supplies last).  Click here to check out all of the deals.

As I mentioned to you in my last blog I was at a Crafting Retreat this past weekend.  It was such fun being part of a group of ladies who spent the weekend laughing, being creative and of course eating!  It's easy and fun to stamp with friends!

It's not too late to get started on your cards and projects for Christmas.  I have dates available for a party where you can get together with your friends and makes some cards for Christmas!  Email me and we can plan a party together.

Here's some of my projects from the weekend - you'll see I wasn't working only on Christmas cards.

Saturday 15 November 2014

I'm a little late in posting today as I'm at a Crafting Retreat.  It's been a fun weekend so far.  We arrived last night, had dinner and starting to play.  Such fun!  There are 53 ladies here working on all sorts of different crafts - scrapbooking, quilting, jewelry making and stamping!  A few of my friends have ordered cards from so this was a great opportunity to make those cards.  I've also started my Christmas cards for family and friends - I won't share those as I want it to be a surprise.

Here's some of the cards I have made so far...

It's hard to believe it's only about 6 weeks to Christmas - if you need supplies email me with your order or go to my online store!

Lest We Forget

Tuesday 11 November 2014

It's Remembrance Day in Canada.  The day we take time to remember members of our armed services who gave their lives in service to our country.  The red poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day - we wear poppies on our lapels for approximately a month prior to November 11th.

The red poppy became the symbol due to the poem "In Flanders Fields".  The poppies bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I, their brilliant red colour became a symbol for the blood spilled in the war.

Whatever you do today, please take a minute or two to remember!

Stampin' Up! Canada Fall Conference

Tuesday 4 November 2014

I had such a fun time at the Fall Conference last weekend that I wanted to share some my photos with you.  I had the opportunity to volunteer for the entire conference - helping with Make and Take's and also doing a "show and tell" about Project Life.  As always Stampin' Up! puts on wonderful events - this one was a little different as it was organized by the Canadian office in Calgary and used lots of BC Demonstrators to help out.

A few pictures from the event to share.  We played a very fun game "Let's Make a Deal Jeopardy Feud" - Dale Hampshire (Manager of Stampin' Up! Canada) was a wonderful host!  Here's my friend Diane Evans (on the left) answering a question.  I made a deal for some cardstock and a punch and my team won free product!  We had such a fun time!
Of course there were M&T's for everyone.  Very cute projects - but I just realized I have no pictures of them :(

Here's some of the projects that were on display.  So cute!  I love this stepped card made from Holiday Home.

There was also a card contest for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  My friend Ginny won with this beautiful card!  It was even more stunning in person!
If you'd like to learn more about why I love being a demonstrator, email or call me.  There are so many benefits and one of the ones that is most important to me is the community of friends that I have made.  I got to spend time with some of those ladies this weekend and also has a chance to make new friends!

It's going to be a short post today...

Saturday 1 November 2014

Sorry for the short post today.  I'm on my way out to Abbotsford for Day 2 of Stampin' Up! Canadian Fall Conference.  I was there most of yesterday helping to set up and then doing a "show and tell" about Project Life by Stampin' Up!  It was so much fun!  This is one of the perks about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - great events where you get to meet other demonstrators and their guests, share ideas and make great projects!  If you're interested in learning more, please Email me.
I was on the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Show and Tell table.  It was great to be able to share all of the wonderful things about Project Life - it's such and quick and easy way to get all of your pictures and stories into albums.  I'm planning a Project Life class for the new year (you'll have your Christmas pictures ready)!  Interested in learning more?  Email me.

Here's my Project Life table...
Also some of the projects that were on display in the room - we were Halloween focused yesterday with the decorations.  All of the Make and Takes were Christmas themed!  It was quite a combination!

Stay tuned for more pictures!
