Where does the time go?

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted since the beginning of June, and here it is the middle.  It's been a crazy whirlwind 2 months of travel for me.  My most recent trip (and somewhat sudden trip) was to the State of Qatar in the Middle East.  What an amazing opportunity, despite being a very quick trip!

I'm home again and actually made it down to my craft room for some play time.  I'm helping a friend with an event tomorrow and she asked me to demonstrate the new Gift Bag Punch Board (Item 135862 - cost $25)
This is a great product that lets you make gift bags of all sizes - from tiny little bags perfect for giving jewellery to a large bag.

Since I've never had the chance to play with this board, I made up some samples.  So much fun!  What do you think?

The bag on the left is made from card stock cut 4"x 10" and the bag on the right is made using the other piece of that same yardstick.  So easy - just add a little bit of embellishment!

You can make bags cut 10", 11" and 12" wide and then any height from 4".

I decided to make a large bag from a 12x12" piece of cardstock.  When I got it punched, I decided that if I did 2 pieces and put them together I could make a gift bag for a wine bottle.  In actual fact I cut part of the 2nd piece off and ended up with a 3 sided bag that I think is perfect for wine bottle.  You will have to make a bottom for this bag as the flaps don't fully cover it.  I used double sided tape for this bag to make it a bit stronger.

What do you think?

Here's a side view...

Think about the possibilities!
