Apologies for some of the pictures - we were kept back from some of the display boards and I couldn't zoom in any closer!

Check out the Poinsettia - new punch coming!

Remember our banner kit - the orange banner is made by sponging onto one of the banners!  This is so adorable!
Ready for Halloween or Thanksgiving?

Ditto - Love this!
This is my favourite!  A new frame lit to make a window frame with a coordinating stamp set! It's on my wishlist

If you'd like a new Holiday Catalogue - email me.  I'll be sending the catalogues out later in August - you can start ordering as of September 1st.

Stay tuned for my upcoming Holiday classes.  If you have any favourites and would like a class based on it, let me know.  It would be fun to gather with a group of your friends to stamp and show off some of the products.

Home Again, Home Again!

Tuesday 28 July 2015

I'm home now from the Stampin' Up! Convention.  What a wonderful time I had and I have so many new ideas to share with you.  I can't wait to share the new Holiday Catalogue with you as well - you'll be able to order from it beginning September 1st!  I have lots of pictures to share with you of the Display Boards from Convention - stay tuned, I have to download them from my camera!

Have you ever tried Paper Pumpkin?

If not, what a great time to check it out.  Every month a new, surprise kit arrives at your doorstep - it contains project cards, journals, decor and more!  Everything you need to create a beautiful project is included - typically you can create this in about 30 minutes.  The cost of the kit is $24.95 including shipping, but until September 10th, Stampin' Up! is offering 50% off of your first two months.

I've seen the next kits for August and September and I can tell you they are so cute!  These are ones that you will want to order additional refill kits for and you can only do that if you are a subscriber.  To be sure you receive the August kit, make sure you sign up BEFORE August 10th. Click Join Now! and use the Promo Code "HALFOFF" to receive this deal.  Once you've signed up you can continue to enjoy the kits every month for as long as you choose.

The weekly deals from Stampin' Up! have been posted.  So many cute things.  The metallic doilies were all over the samples I saw at Convention!  What a great price - you get 24 in a package - 6 each of 2 different sizes in both silver and gold!

It's all over!

Saturday 25 July 2015

Today was the final day of the Stampin' Up! Convention.  It's been a fun 3 days and I can't wait to show you some of the amazing products and projects I've learned about while here.

Of course, there was an all attendee give away today - some Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalogue.  Apologies for the poor quality - it seems there is always a bright light behind when I try to take a selfie!

Diane also won a prize patrol today - a new stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue and Ribbon.  Woohoo!

Turns out the everyone in attendance won a prize patrol which doesn't happen very often at Convention.  Thank you Stampin' Up!

It was fun to get to play with some of the new products from the Holiday Catalogue.  Did you know that it's only 152 days until Christmas (5 months today!)?

Not too early to start thinking about making your Christmas Cards and Projects and have I got some amazing ideas to share with you.  Check out this cute tag we made using one of the new Designer Series Papers and Buttons!

Finally a shot of some of the Canadian contingent in attendance.  It is so much fun catching up with old friends and making new ones.  I met most of these ladies for the first time at Convention a few years ago.  I've known Glenda for about 30 years (sorry Glenda!) and re-connected with her at Convention a few years ago!  It really is a small world.
Sandi MacIver, Barb Tripps, Glenda Mollet and Shelagh Freemantle
My flight is tomorrow morning - will be hard to get back to work after such a fun week although I think I'll be going back for a rest after all of the activities of this week.

Stay tuned for some pictures of the swaps I received while here in SLC.

Convention Recap - Day 2

Friday 24 July 2015

Day 2 of the Stampin' Up! Convention is over!

Lots of great ideas in the stamping demonstrations.  I can't wait to get home to start to plan my Fall Classes. So many new products to share with you and so many great ideas for cards and projects.

We also have Prize Patrols today and I won a stamp set from the holiday catalogue and the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.  Woohoo!  We also had an all attendee give-away.  You're going to love the product we got - a new black ink that is amazing!

Here's my prizes!

After the day was over, Diane and I played in the photo booths.  Check it out!

Tomorrow I get to play with some more of the new products - I can't wait.  Diane and I are getting up early to go to the Gathering Place and take pictures of the sample boards.  Stay tuned!

Day 1 - Stampin' Up! Convention

Well, day 1 is over and day 2 is just about to begin.  It always feels like such a long wait for the SU! Convention but once I arrive in Salt Lake City it is a whirlwind of activity.

Yesterday began with our bag pickup.  It's always so fun to see what kind of bag we will receive. This year it is a super cute cross body bag made from a felted material with 3 adorable buttons on the front.  Of course, the bag isn't empty - a new stamp set (can't show you it yet because it's from the new Holiday Catalogue, but can you see it sticking out of the bag?), a coiled notebook and pen and of course a pin.

There was a long line up to get into the General Session, but everyone was swapping (of course!) and it went surprisingly fast.
A few more pictures to show.
Diane and I are ready to enjoy the day!

The main stage is always decorated so beautifully and this year is no exception!  WOW!
And finally at the end of the sessions, the place is quite deserted.  Only a few die hard swappers left!

But of course our day didn't end there.  It was Awards Night and our chance to celebrate all of the achievers over the year.  My Upline Alison Solven is one of the top 20 demonstrators in Canada.  She isn't at Convention this year so we cheered very loudly for her.  Congratulations to everyone!

Getting ready for Day 2!  Stay tuned for more pictures!  Hope to get to the display booths soon!

Arrived in Salt Lake City - Woohoo!

Wednesday 22 July 2015

Arrived in Salt Lake City yesterday.  I'm rooming with my friend Diane from Kamloops.  We caught up after not seeing each other since last year's Convention and then went shopping.  Always a fun thing to do in SLC although the exchange rate isn't so fun!

Look at the amazing Mixed Media gift that Diane made for me.  This piece is stunning and I have the perfect place in my craft room to hang this.  Thanks Diane!

Diane and I are both into Mixed Media. I had posted snippets of my gift for her before leaving, but didn't want to show all of it.  Here's the finished tote bag (unfortunately I don't think the pictures do it justice)

Onto the first day or pre-convention activities.  Diane and I are doing a Shoebox swap today.  Here's the second swap for that event.
Stay tuned for more of our adventures from SLC!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

Tuesday 21 July 2015

I love attending the Stampin' Up! Convention each year - this is my 5th year of attending.  I'm on my way to catch up with 4000 of my closest stamping friends.  I always come home inspired and feeling very creative!

I'll be posting as much as I can over the course of the Convention.  Tomorrow I'm attending a pre-Convention Shoe Box Swap.  I made this cards as part of the swap and will post the other card tomorrow - I guess I didn't take a picture of it before I packed my suitcase :(

I love the Sheltering Tree stamp set.  I used the Bow Builder Punch to create the tag for the Sentiment.  I punched out 2 of the black pieces and 1 of the white pieces.  You can adhere the 2 black pieces together and cover with the white piece to hide the seam.  So many uses for the SU! punches!

Don't forget to check out the Weekly Deals and Bonus Deals!  You can save up to 30%.  Also check out the Clearance Rack - 60% savings on some items.
