Brusho Crystal Colours - I'm loving them!

Anyone that knows me, knows how much I love playing with mixed media techniques. I was so excited to see the Brusho Crystal Colors in the Occasions catalogue.  I've been playing with them over the past couple of weeks and they are so addictive!  They are perfect for lots of techniques, but one of the easiest techniques is to create a background or wash for a card.

Here's a card I created.  I love the combination of pink and gold together and I love how this card turned out.

For this card I used water colour paper and added Brilliant Red crystals to the paper.  I then sprayed the paper with water and let the magic happen.  I've learned that you have to be patient and not get frustrated.  A friend of mine once told me not to give up on techniques like this.  You have to let the crystals and colour move and do its' work.  You don't really know how each piece will turn out and sometimes they don't.  In this case, I think it did work!

Are you interested in learning more about Brusho?  I'll be scheduling a class in the new future to share some of the techniques.
