2018-2019 Paper and Ribbon Share

This year I'm offering a paper and ribbon share from the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.  You're going to love all of the new designer series papers and ribbons in the catalogues!  I know I do!

For this ribbon and paper share, I've selected a sampler from the 21 new patterned papers and 35 new3 ribbons and trim. If you were to purchase all the Designer Series Paper in my offering it would cost you $335 and the ribbon would cost you $345 so it's so much better to join the share and get a little bit of everything.

Here's how it works:

I purchase all the paper and ribbons and divide it between the members of the share. There are 8 members for each share so as soon as I have 8 people it will form a group. I have focussed my share on 29 ribbons and 16 papers and you will receive a piece of each paper and a sample of each ribbon for a much lower price! You can join either ribbon or paper shares or BOTH!

You will receive a total of 96 sheets of Designer Series Paper cut to 6" x 6" for a cost of $43 plus mailing if needed ($5).

You will receive a total of 45 yards of ribbon at a cost of $43 plus mailing ($5).

Orders will be taken starting on April 28 and sales will end on May 31st. I will purchase all the materials on June 1st. I will be collecting the fee after May 25th in keeping with the rules of Stampin' Up! You can pay by PayPal or e-transfer. I will contact you to arrange your payment once you have signed up.

In keeping with the rules governing my demonstratorship I can't share the pictures of the paper and ribbon but here's what included:

Number of Years in Retiring Colours

Today I'm sharing a card I made that features the Number of Years stamp set as well as two of the retiring colours - Dapper Denim and Marina Mist.  I love these two blues and am sad they will be gone as of May 31st, but that just means the Stampin' Up! has some new amazing colours being added to the collections!

This card was quick and easy to make - I stamped leaves randomly around the outside using Crumb Cake and then added the flowers in Marina Mist and the dots in Dapper Denim.  For the sentiment, I stamped "70" in the middle of the card in Dapper Denim and then a second set which I cut out using the Large Numbers Framelits.   The words are stamped in Marina Mist.  I then used the Mini Dimensionals to adhere the numbers to the front of the card.  You can't see it in the picture, but there is Wink of Stella on the numbers to pop them.

This card is perfect for anyone - masculine or feminine!

I'm sad that this stamp set and the framelits are retiring, but you can still get both until May 31st (while supplies last). Interested in purchasing this stamp set before it's gone?  Don't miss out!

Weather Together and Paper Pumpkin

Today's share is a card I made using the Weather Together Stamp Set and coordinating Framelits.  I love how this card turned out.  I used Watercolour paper and coloured the umbrellas with my Aqua Painter.  To do this, I added a couple of drops of ink from the Reinkers to the lid of my stamp pad.

I'm sad that this stamp set and the framelits are retiring, but you can still get both until May 31st (while supplies last). Interested in purchasing this stamp set before it's gone?  Don't miss out!

My first card features the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.  I CASE'd this card from a card made by Susie Wood - she used Amazing You from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Here's my card.
I just love how bright and cheery this card is!

Updated Clearance Rack and The story on the new and improved Stampin' Up! Ink Pads (you're going to love them!)

Clearance Rack has been updated

New items have been added to the Clearance Rack in my online store. Supplies are limited, and with discounts up to 60%, products will go quickly. Shop now and stock up.

Ink Pads are changing

Stampin’ Up! has improved their ink pad cases and ink formula!

Why did they change the case?

The case’s manufacturing mold was about to expire. They can only use a mold a limited number of times before they need to replace it, so they had to decide if they wanted to order more of the same molds or try to improve the design. They chose to improve it!

What’s better about the case?

Using research, focus group feedback and comments, they discovered a few things that could improve the design of the Classic Stampin’ Pad case.
They wanted the new case to:
  • Be less confusing to open. Opening the new ink pad case is now more simple and intuitive—just insert your thumb in the lip at the front of the case and lift it to open.
  • Have a tighter fit between the lid and the base. With the new design, the lid doesn’t accidentally become disconnected, which was a common problem with the old case style. With use, the lid will be easier to slide open and close.
  • Be stackable. The ability to stack the cases makes them easier to store and transport. They designed a nub in each bottom corner that fits nicely into the dimple on the top of another case. Tip: Removing the label stickers from the bottom of the case (after applying the needed labels to the case) also makes the ink pads stack a little better.
  • Include improved labels and stickers. Here are a few of the ways we’ve done that:
    • The top label now has a cleaner, bolder design and a larger color swatch, making it easier to see the ink’s color.
    • The stickers include a new In Color icon.
    • They’ve continued to provide color stickers that can be placed on the end of each case to easily identify the ink’s color at a glance.
    • They’re introducing a new color sticker you can place on the inside of the case, so you can easily distinguish the ink’s color when the case is open.

How is the ink different?

They improved their ink formula because they noticed that their old ink would sometimes bubble, especially on new pads and with lighter colors. When this happened, the ink wasn’t as even and smooth when stamped as they’d like to see it.
The improved ink formula will:
  • Reduce ink bubbles.
  • Help you get a smooth coating of ink on the stamp.
  • Help lay down the ink better.

How do I know if my Classic Ink Refill has the new and improved ink?

Beginning with the 2018–2019 Annual Catalog, all ink refills will have the improved ink formula. Also, if you received an ink refill and it has the new branding label, it contains the improved ink formula.

Can I use an old ink refill on a new ink pad or a new ink refill on an old ink pad?

Yes! You absolutely can with the exception of the Basic Gray Archival and Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ inks. Archival and Classic inks should not be mixed. All other Classic Stampin’ inks will work fine.

Where is the archival ink?

Archival ink will no longer be part of our ink offering. Basic Gray will now be part of the Classic Stampin’ ink family. Please note that you cannot use an archival ink refill on the new Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad, as this will ruin the new ink pad. Only use Classic Stampin’ ink refills on Classic Stampin’ pads. Your best options for black ink pads are the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad, to use with Blends and general black stamping needs, and the Jet Black StāzOn Pad, to use for watercolor and nonporous surface stamping. Both will be part of Stampin’ Up!’s ink offering. Stampin’ Up! is confident that both the Memento and StāzOn pads are high-quality inks that perform to our customers’ needs.

Will the updated Classic Stampin’ Pad case fit in the Color Caddy?

Yes, it will fit into the Color Caddy–just not as tightly as the previous ink pad style. If you’ve stored the updated pads in your caddy, you’ll want to be careful when rotating the caddy and not turn it too fast. Stampin’ Up! is working on a new storage solution for the updated Classic Stampin’ Pad case and do not yet have a launch date.
Hopefully that clarifies a few things for you, let me know if you have questions about the ink pads too!
