The other day I was walking the dog past my neighbours house and noticed some sun flowers growing in her garden. While we've had hot weather recently, it is September 1st today so I thought it seemed appropriate to make a card using the Painted Harvest stamp set. I love how versatile this stampset is.

For the sunflower, I used Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie with an Early Espresso centre.

Instructions

Cut Early Espresso cardstock 5 1/2" x 7 1/4" and score at 3". Fold to make card base.
Cut Whisper White cardstock 2 3/4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp Whisper White cardstock with Birch stampset using Early Espresso ink. (TIP: I stamped off once to make the birch print a little lighter)
Cut Early Espresso cardstock 2 7/8" x 5 3/8"
Adhere stamped Whisper White to Early Espresso cardstock using Snail.
Adhere to the left card front using Dimensionals
Stamp sun flower pieces - I used Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for the two pieces and Early Expresso as the centre and small dots.
Cut out the flower using Paper Snips.
Stamp 2 leaves using Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso (for the veins of the leaves). Punch out using Leaf Punch.
Adhere Wrap Linen Thread around palm of hand about 3-4 times. Take off hand and pinch in middle. Adhere to card front in middle edge of birch stamp using Snail.
Adhere leaves using Snail
Adhere sunflower using Dimensionals
Stamp sentiment twice using Early Espresso ink.
Punch out using Classic Label punch.
Join the two piece together overlapping slightly. Adhere with Snail.
Punch out a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock using Classic Label punch.
Cut in half and adhere to both ends of sentiment.
Adhere Designer Element to left end of sentiment
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Stamp leaf in Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso on lower right corner
Adhere to inside of card using Snail
