Saying Goodbye to Seaside Notions
Today I'm sharing a card I made during a recent Sketch Challenge. I share Sketch Challenges every Tuesday at 6:30pm Pacific on my Facebook Page and Group. If you're interested in following along, please join me by liking my page so you will be notified when I'm live!
First of all, here's the Sketch that I used.
Now, for the card I created. My card features the Seaside Notions stampset that will retire as of May 3rd. I love this set and will miss the great sea animal images. I also used the Seabed Embossing Folder and 2 1/4" Circle Punch which are also retiring. I have my sad face on! On my card I created the second seahorse image using reverse stamping. I stamped the image on my Silicone Mat using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then pressed my piece of Basic White cardstock onto the image. This transfers the stamped image to your paper but now it is reversed. It's a cool technique!
Instructions
- Cut Bermuda Bay cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
- Cut Crumb Cake cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.
- Cut Pool Party cardstock 3 3/4" x 5" and emboss using the Seabed Embossing Folder.
- Adhere to card base using Stampin' Seal.
- Punch out 2 circles using 2 1/4" Circle Punch from Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Stamp seaweed and sand dollar images using Crumb Cake ink.
- Adhere to card base on top left and bottom right using Dimensionals.
- Stamp the seahorse on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black.
- Stamp the seahorse on your Silicone Mat using Tuxedo Black ink.
- Press Basic White cardstock over stamped image. Presto...you now have a reverse image!
- Colour both images using Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.
- Fussy cut images using Paper Snips and adhere to the circles using Dimensionals.
- Cut Pool Party cardstock 3/4" x 2 3/4"
- Stamp sentiment using Bermuda Bay ink.
- Cut tag ends in both ends.
- Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
- Adhere Artistry Blooms Sequins.
