Winter Holiday Blog Hop - National Poinsettia Day - Dec 12

It's time for another blog hop!  Today I'm participating in the Winter Holiday Blog Hop.  We were challenged to celebrate a holiday that wasn't Christmas!  I decided to celebrate National Poinsettia Day on December 12th with a pretty poinsettia card.

I used the Poinsettia Petals Bundle to create this beautiful card.  The Poinsettia is cut out of Shimmery White Card Stock and I used my Blending Brushes on the petals with Blushing Bride and on the leaves with Soft Succulent to add a touch of colour.  The embossing is done using the Merriest Wishes 3D Hybrid Embossing Folder.  What do you think?

Instructions
  1. Cut Real Red card stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  2. Cut Vellum card stock 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using Merriest Wishes embossing folder.
  3. Adhere to the card base.
  4. Cut out the stitched rectangle using the die from the Merriest Wishes Bundle and adhere to the centre of the embossed piece using Stampin' Seal.
  5. Cut out 1 flower in each size and sponge with Blushing Bride using a Blending Brush
  6. Pinch the petals at the end to get a 3D effect and adhere the 3 petals together using Dimensionals.
  7. Cut out 2 flower centre pieces using Dies from Gold Foil.
  8. Adhere to the centre of the flower using a Dimensional for the first piece and a Glue Dot for the top piece.
  9. Cut out 1 leave in each size and sponge with Soft Succulent using a Blending Brush
  10. Pinch the leaves on the ends to get a 3D effect and adhere under flower using Glue Dots.
  11. Cut out sprig from Gold Foil and adhere behind flower using a Glue dot.
  12. Adhere to the centre of the card base using a Dimensional.
  13. Stamp sentiment on Shimmery White card stock using Real Red ink.
  14. Cut out using Paper Snips
  15. Cut 3" of ribbon and fold in half.  Trim the ends using Paper Snips.  Adhere under flower using a Glue Dot.
  16. Adhere sentiment over ribbon using a Glue Dot - tucked under flower.
