Festive Friday Challenges #101 - New Horizons

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge!  Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project.  We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

This week’s challenge FF #101 - International Wetlands Day

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge  At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. If you want help entering, please email me at stampinwithmelva@gmail.com and I’d be happy to help you!

I created this calendar featuring the New Horizons Product Suite.  This suite is amazing!  The Designer Series Paper makes it so easy to create beautiful cards.  For my card today, I added some stamping with birds and a sentiment and then die cuts for the trees, grasses and fence and finally some of the amazing Pebbles for stepping stones.

Instructions
  1. Cut Night of Navy card stock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".  Fold on score line to form card base.
  2. Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
  3. Stamp birds at the top using Night of Navy ink.
  4. Stamp sentiment at the top using Night of Navy ink.
  5. Cut out trees from Mossy Meadow card stock
  6. Adhere to the centre of the card
  7. Cut out grasses from scrap of Designer Series Paper (use the piece you cut off for this card)
  8. Adhere to the card base in front of the trees using Mini Dimensionals.
  9. Cut out 2 fence pieces from Basic White card stock
  10. Adhere to the bottom of the card using Glue Dots and Mini Dimensionals (to make it pop out).
  11. Add a line of Pebbles to create a path.
  12. Cut Basic White card card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
  13. Stamp grasses in the bottom right using Mossy Meadow ink.
  14. Adhere to the inside of the card.

All of the supplies to make this card are available in my Online Store.
