International Highlights Blog Hop - Hello Ladybug

I'm excited to participate again in Kylie's Monthly International Blog Highlights for January! 

The theme is "Thank You".  I created this adorable Faux Step Card using the Hello Ladybug Bundle.  This bundle is so cute and includes a great punch to make ladybugs so quick and easy! 

I've seen quite a few cards shared for the Faux Step Cards.  It's a quicker way to make the step card without having to deal with cutting and scoring on your card base.  This card uses 2 pieces of card stock that are adhered together.  Love this way to make the cards!

Aren't these ladybugs adorable!!!  So easy with the punch!

Instructions

1. Cut Basic Black card stock 4 1/4" x 9" and score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2" and 5 3/4" on the 9" side
2. Fold on the score lines to form the card base.  The score at 1 1/4" forms a mountain fold, the 2 1/2" forms a valley fold and the 5 3/4" forms a mountain fold.  You can check out my YouTube Video for tips on folding your card base.
3. Cut Real Red card stock 3" x 4"
4. Cut Designer Series Paper 2 7/8" x 3 7/8"
5. Adhere Designer Series Paper to the Real Red Card stock
6. Adhere to the card base.
7. Cut Real Red card stock 1 1/8" x 4 1/8"
8. Cut Designer Series Paper 1" x 4"
9. Adhere Real Red card stock to Designer Series Paper
10. Adhere to the bottom flap of the card
11. Cut Basic Black card stock 2 1/2" x 9" and score at 3 1/2".
12. Fold on score line and adhere to the card base - along the bottom of the card base along the 1 1/4" flap and then on the back of the card.  Do not adhere to any other places on your card.
13. Cut Real Red card stock 2 3/8" x 5 1/8"
14. Cut Designer Series Paper 2 1/4" x 5"
15. Adhere Designer Series Paper to the Real Red card stock
16. Adhere to the front of the card
17. Wrap ribbon around the card front and tie a bow
18. Punch 2 ladybug bodies from Basic Black card stock
19. Punch 2 ladybug wings from Real Red card stock
20. Adhere wings to the bodies using Glue Dots
21. Adhere ladybugs to the card base using Dimensionals
22. Adhere Black Matte Dots to the wings for the dots on the ladybug
23. Cut Real Red card stock 1/4" x 2 1/4"
24. Cut Basic White card stock 3/8" x 2 1/8"
25. Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
26. Adhere to Real Red card stock using Mini Dimensionals
27. Adhere to card base using Mini Dimensionals
28. Cut Real Red card stock 3" x 4"
29. Cut Basic White card stock 2 7/8" x 3 7/8"
30. Stamp ladybug in bottom corner using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
31. Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
32. Adhere to the Real Red card stock
33. Adhere to the back of the card base
