Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop - April 2022

I'm excited to be training with Bruno and Kylie again this year and participating in our monthly Blog Hop with amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world. The purpose of the group is for the group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that are part of the program...to share ideas and to learn from each other...to help us in our Stampin' Up! Business.

Today you will "hop around the world" and check out the amazing projects created by these very talented demonstrators.  I'm glad you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. You are currently visiting Melva Peters from British Columbia, Canada.  You can visit all of the other blogs using the links posted below.

The theme is THANK YOU and I'm sharing the exclusive thank you card that you will receive if you place an order with me in April.

I love the Starburst technique - thank you to Liane Binder who shared this technique during a recent Team Event.  I used the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper to create these pretty cards.

Instructions

  1. Cut Soft Succulent card stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Fold on scoreline to form card base.
  2. Cut Calypso Coral card stock 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  3. Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
  4. Cut about 6-8 pieces of Designer Series Paper that are a variety of widths - from 2" x 6" to 4" x 6"
  5. Cut each of these pieces in half on the diagonal.
  6. Start by marking a small semi circle in pencil at about 2 5/8" on one side of the Basic White card stock (on the long side).  This will be where the points of the Designer Series Paper pieces end.
  7. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the the strips of Designer Series Paper to the Basic White card stock - all with the points at the semi circle.  The strips should be about 1/16" apart.
  8. Continue until you have covered the Basic White card stock with strips
  9. Let the adhesive dry
  10. Trim the excessive Designer Series Paper
  11. Adhere to the Calypso Coral card stock
  12. Adhere to the card base.
  13. Stamp sentiment on a scrap of Basic White card stock using Calypso Coral ink
  14. Cut out using Paper Snips or Die
  15. Cut Soft Succulent card stock about 1/4" bigger than sentiment - use Paper Snips or cut slightly larger die cut
  16. Adhere the stamped sentiment piece to the Soft Succulent piece using Dimensionals.
  17. Adhere to the card base over the semi circle
  18. Cut ribbon about 3" - fold in half - trim ends and tuck under sentiment and adhere with a die cut.
  19. Adhere Polished Dots
  20. Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
  21. Cut Designer Series Paper 1" x 4"
  22. Adhere to the Basic White card stock
  23. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Tutorial Bundle for the Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, the Creativity Abounds Team has decided to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?

The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely and help is needed now. Therefore the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.

Stampin’ Up’s Statement of the Heart reads:

To LOVE what we do and SHARE what we love.
As we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments.
In this we MAKE A Difference.

The Creativity Abounds Design Team hope that in sharing what we love with you, together we might make a small difference.

How Can I Help?

Purchase your Tutorial Bundle now and we will deliver it to your in box as soon as it is available. We hope you enjoy all the projects inside.
Don’t hesitate to email me if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
