Twisted Ribbon Christmas Card

I shared the Twisted Ribbon technique that I used for my October Customer Thank You cards in an earlier post. Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I created using the same technique and the Stampin' Up! Boughs of Holly Suite. I have been having so much fun with this technique. Isn't this a pretty card!

Instructions

Cut Real Red cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold on scoreline to form card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Emboss using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder
Adhere to card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 2" x 5 1/4"
Mark on each side with pencil each 1/2"
Cut strips of 2 patterns of Designer Series Paper 1/2" x 3"
Adhere pattern 1 strip from top right corner to 1st 1/2" mark
Repeat down the cardstock using the same pattern. There will be 1/2" between each strip
Adhere pattern 2 from top left corner to 1st 1/2" mark
Repeat down the cardstock using the same pattern. This strip will fill in the 1/2" gap
Trim excess DSP fron edges
Adhere to the card base about 3/4" from left edge
Cut 2 strips of DSP 1/8" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to both sides of the twisted ribbon piece
Cut Basic White cardstock 3/4" x 3"
Stamp sentiment using Real Red ink
Cut banner ends
Cut Real Red cardstock 1" x 3 1/4"
Cut banner ends
Adhere sentiment to Real Red cardstock using Dimensionals
Adhere to card base
Adhere 2 Gold Holly leaves above and below sentiment
Adhere Red Rhinestones to leaves
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp berries using Real Red ink (stamped off)
Stamp outside edge of berries using Real Red ink
Stamp sentiment using Real Red ink
Adhere to the inside of the card

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
