Christmas Lights Heat Embossed Z Fold Card

Time for a bit of an untraditional holiday card using Tahitian Tide!  I had fun creating this Z fold card using the Stampin' Up! Christmas Lights Bundle.  I shared this card as part of an Instahop with fellow demonstrators.  If you're on Instahop and don't follow me, check me out at @stampingwithmelva and click the follow button.  You can check out all of the amazing projects in the InstaHop as well!

Isn't this a fun card!  I embossed the snowflakes using White embossing powder before cutting them out and then layered a white background behind them.

Instructions

  1. Cut Tahitian Tide cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".  Fold in half at 5 1/2" and then fold the 2 3/4" flap back. Burnish on score lines with Bone Folder to create card base.
  2. Cut 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock 2 1/2" x 4"
  3. Emboss using Wintry Embossing Folder
  4. Adhere to front flaps of card base
  5. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  6. Emboss top and bottom using Wintry Embossing Folder
  7. Cut Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" and adhere to the middle of the Basic White piece to hide seam line where you embossed top and bottom
  8. Adhere to inside of card base
  9. Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" and adhere to the 2 front flaps

  11. Adhere to card base with long side towards the front.
