Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - Partial Die Cutting

Today I'm hopping with the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop sharing projects featuring the partial die cutting technique. I have to admit, I don't do this technique very often. I'm not sure why because I love it! I had fun making this card featuring the Cheerful Daisies Bundle. The large die in the bundle is perfect for this technique.

You might have to do a little trimming with this die, but the final card is amazing. I love the colour combination of Pebble Path and Moody Mauve. Don't you!

Instructions

Cut Pebbled Path cardstock 5 1/2" x 6 3/8" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone folder to form card base.
Cut Designer Series Paper (Pattern 1) 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" and adhere to front flap
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper (Pattern 2) 2" x 5 1/4"
Emboss using Exposed Brick Embossing Folder and adhere to Basic White cardstock on the right hand side
Adhere to the inside of the card.
Cut Pebbled Path cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
Cut out large daisy and leaf die using partial die cutting technique. Watch my YouTube Video for more instructions on how to only cut part of the cardstock using the Die.
Cut out a second full daisy and leaf die cut from Moody Mauve cardstock
Adhere Moody Mauve Die cut to Pebbled Patch Die cut
Adhere to the front flap of the card
Wrap ribbon around front flap and tie a bow
Adhere In Color Dots
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Moody Mauve ink
Cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere to right bottom corner of card using Dimensionals
Apply Wink of Stella to flower centres.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon or embossing folder. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
