Embossed Vellum Christmas Card

Today I'm sharing a card that features embossed Vellum. I was asked by one of my followers recently to share techniques using Vellum Cardstock. One of my favourite techniques is to emboss it using an Embossing Folder. It creates such a pretty background for a card.

Check out this pretty card featuring the Whimsical Woodland Embossing Folder. So easy to create quick and easy cards using this technique.

Instructions

Cut Sweet Sorbet cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold on score line to form card base.
Cut Vellum Cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Emboss using the Whimsical Woodland Embossing Folder
Adhere to card base - apply adhesive only in places that will be hidden by the sentiment label.
Cut Basic White cardstock 3/4" x 4"
Stamp sentiment using Sweet Sorbet ink
Cut Sweet Sorbet cardstock 1" x 4"
Adhere sentiment layer to Sweet Sorbet cardstock
Wrap twine around palm of hand 3-4 times. Pull off and pinch in the middle.
Adhere to the card base
Adhere sentiment layer over twine using Dimensionals.
Adhere Iridescent Pearls
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp tree image on bottom right corner using Sweet Sorbet ink
Adhere to the inside of the card.

Monthly Card Club

Starting in October, you will be able to join my Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
