Sneak Peek - Forever Greenery

I'm getting so excited!  Only 3 more sleeps until the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue launches and you'll be able to order the beautiful Forever Greenery Suite!  This is definitely one of my favourite suites in the catalogue!  The Designer Series Paper is stunning!

 Check out the card I made using the suite.  I love the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper - for this card I used an overlay of leaves in gold to turn a quick and easy card into one that looks like you spent hours on it!



Instructions

  1. Cut Crumb Cake cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and fold in half to form card base.
  2. Emboss the front using the Greenery Embossing Folder - I ran my base through twice to cover the entire card front
  3. Cut Garden Green cardstock 3 1/2" x 5"
  4. Cut Designer Series Paper 3 1/4" x 4 3/4"
  5. Adhere an overlay to the Designer Series Paper using Glue Dots in the corners
  6. Wrap ribbon around this piece and adhere to the back using Snail.
  7. Adhere to the card base using Snail.
  8. Wrap gold twine around card base twice and adhere to card front on left hand side using Snail.
  9. Cut out circle from Gold Specialty paper
  10. Stamp sentiment in Garden Green and leaves in Crumb Cake and cut out using 1 3/4" Circle Die
  11. Adhere to gold circle using Snail
  12. Adhere to left hand side of card base using Dimensionals

    Celebrate Sunflowers - Sneak Peek from the Annual Catalogue

    Today's card is my second sneak peek from the upcoming Annual Catalogue.  The catalogue launches on June 3rd so there's still a little time left to pick up the retired products that are still on your wishlist.  The items retiring will be gone as of June 3rd!

    Surprise, surprise, today's card has sunflowers on it!  This time it features the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.  I love the large sunflower.  For this card I stamped it using VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder.  Then I added colour using Sponge Daubers - soft suede, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie.  When I started this card, I had planned to stamp and sponge the sunflower in the bottom left corner and then the sentiment in the top right, but things changed as I started to make the card.  I finished the card off by sponging around the large flower and the sentiment using Soft Suede lightly but also all over the card using Daffodil Delight and then stamped small sunflowers using Soft Suede.

      Jar of Flowers - Sneak Peek from the Annual Catalogue

      I couldn't resist the Jar of Flowers Bundle when I saw it!  I think it was because it gives me the ability to colour!  I love to Colour using Stampin' Blends.  You'll be able to buy this bundle when the Annual Catalogue launches on June 3rd.

      The stamp set comes with 4 different flower arrangements.  For this card, I paired Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee - 2 of the new In Colours for 2020-2021.  Isn't this pretty!  I know it isn't fall yet, but sunflowers make me happy!


       I coloured the flowers using Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede.  The flowers aren't large, but it is still possible to layer lots of different colours!  

       I'll post the instructions and supply list for this card once the catalogue goes on June 3rd so that you'll know what to order!

        Accented Blooms

        Today I'm sharing a card I designed using the Accented Blooms stamp set.  I love the combination of Gorgeous Grape and Purple Posy.  For the flowers I used Wink of Stella to shade.  Just the right amount of colour!  The Silver Metallic ribbon adds just the right amount of bling!

          Stitched All Around Fancy Fold Card

          I decided to try my hand at a fancy fold card for today's share.  This is a fun fancy fold card to make and I used bright and cheery Designer Series Paper.  I used the Stitched All Around dies to create the front flap.


          I really like the pop of colour of Pineapple Punch on this card.  I'm going to miss this In Colour when it retires on June 3rd!

              This Little Piggy

              I love the piggies in the This Little Piggy stamp set and and I'm so sad that it is retiring!  I made this adorable card featuring 3 little piggies.  The one that makes me smile the most as I have a friend that always used to say to me "yeah, when pigs fly!"  In fact, one year for her birthday I made her a sweat shirt where I drew a pig flying!


              For this card I stamped the 3 images using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then coloured the pigs with Light and Dark Petal Pink and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.  For the flower I used Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Mossy Meadow and for the wings I added Wink of Stella.

              The sentiment comes from the Share Sunshine PDF Download

                  Scrappy Strip Technique

                  I had so much fun making these cards on one of my Online Card Classes.  I hold a FREE class every week where we get together and make 2 cards.  I demonstrate my card and give you measurements and then you make a card using your supplies.  We use Zoom - it's so amazing to get together virtually during this time when we need to keep our distance.  Interested in joining an upcoming class?  Check out my schedule of events.

                      Floral Essence

                      Today I'm sharing another card I created when I was challenged to do some colouring!  I posted some things I learned from a friend recently about colouring with Stampin' Blends in my post on May 5th,  I really like how this card turned out.  Flirty Flamingo and Black is one of my favourite colour combinations!



                      I coloured the centre of the flower using Wink of Stella on top of Crumb Cake!

                          I'm going to miss the Daisy Delight stamp set for sure!  It makes it so easy to create a beautiful with little effort.  We made this card in last weeks Free Online Zoom class.  I love the pop of colour of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper paired with Lovely Lipstick cardstock.  Lovely Lipstick is one of the In Colours that retire as of June 3rd - will be sad to see it go!

                              Varied Vases

                              Today I'm sharing a card that features the Varied Vases stamp set and Vase Builder Punch.  I popped up the colours using Lovely Lipstick card stock and the See A Silhouette Designer Series paper. I'm so sad that Lovely Lipstick and all of the other 2018-2019 In Colours are retiring as of June 3rd when the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue launches.


                              As I mentioned in my last blog post, Varied Vases and Vibrant Vases have been my "go to" stamp sets for beautiful, quick and easy cards.  I will be so sad when this retires on June 3rd.  You can still order these stamp sets and the Vase Builder Punch while supplies last!
