A "Flirty" Rose

Today's card features the To A Wild Rose stampset and coordinating dies. For this card I used "Flirty Flamingo" and I love how it turned out.

Instructions

Cut Crumb Cake cardstock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and fold in half to form card base.
Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5".
Stamp sentiment on top right corner in Flirty Flamingo ink.
Cut Crumb Cake cardstock 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" and run through Big Shot using Corrugated Embossing Folder
Adhere to Whisper White cardstock just below stamped sentiment.
Cut Flirty Flamingo cardstock 4" x 5 1/4".
Adhere Whisper White cardstock piece to Flirty Flamingo cardstock using Snail.
Wrap Whisper White Baker's Twine around embossed Flirty Flamingo piece twice and tie a bow on the right hand side.
Adhere to card base using Snail.
Stamp rose image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Colour rose with Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends.
Cut 2 leaves using dies
Adhere rose image to card base using Dimensionals.
Adhere leaves behind rose using Glue Dots
Adhere sequins to card base.

I shared the sister of this card in an earlier post. When you make a floating frame you get the ingredients for two cards. Todays card features the inside of the piece I cut out for my first card. I can't decide which one I like better!

Check it out! I used Good Morning Magnolia and stamped and coloured about 20 of the small magnolia blooms. I also cut out some of the leaves that are part of the dies.

There are lots of videos on how to make floating frame cards. I watched the video made by Lea Denton. Stay turned for a video on my Facebook Page.

The trick to making the floating frame is to place the images all over a piece of Whisper White cardstock and hold in place using Press n' Seal wrap (yes, that's correct, Press n' Seal). Then you cut the shape in the middle. The card uses lots of Dimensionals - you need to put at least one Dimensional on every cut out image and sometimes multiple Dimensionals. This is what adhere them to the card once the Press n' Seal is removed. For my card, I had to make sure my leaves were tucked behind a flower since there was no place to hide a dimensional.

The See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper reminds me of the effect you get when you use Pigment Sprinkles over White Embossed stamped images. The colours are amazingly vibrant! Check out todays' quick and easy card that clearly gives the Designer Series Paper the starring role!

Instructions

Cut Night of Navy cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and fold in half to make card base.
Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base using Snail
Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink on a 2 1/2" square piece of Whisper White card stock
Punch out using 2" Circle Punch.
Punch a starburst out using Starburst Punch.
Adhere the stamped sentiment circle to the starburst using Snail
Adhere a 4 1/2" piece of ribbon to cardbase using Snail. Trim the ends diagonally.
Adhere the stamped sentiment over top of ribbon on left side using Dimensionals.
Add rhinestones.

I'm in love with the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper! Check out this quick and easy card I made.

Instructions

Cut a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and fold in half to make card base.
Cut a piece of Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base using Snail.
Cut a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock 4 1/4" x 1 3/4".
Cut a piece of Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper 4" x 1 1/2" and adhere on top of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals.
Punch out a circle from Whisper White cardstock using 2" circle punch
Punch out a circle from Mint Macaron cardstock using Starburst punch.
Stamp sentiment in Mint Macaron ink on the 2" circle.
Adhere the stamped sentiment circle to the starburst.
Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals. I used a single Dimensional at the top where the circle overlaps the Designer Series Paper strip and a double stack of Dimensionals at the bottom of the circle.
Adhere 3 sequins to the card base.

Can you see the shiny texture on the Designer Series Paper? Half of the sheets have this embossed look.
