I created this card using the Striped Layers Background Stampset with Gilded Leafing. I love background stamps and I also love the Gilded Leafing. What a perfect pair!

I know you might think that the Gilded Leafing is hard to use, but it really isn't. A few tricks. I keep mine in a large plastic container and have cut up a sponge that I leave in the container - that keeps the leafing contained.

Instructions

Cut Early Espresso cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Early Espresso cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using Cane Weave Embossing Folder.
Adhere to card base
Cut Early Espresso cardstock 2 1/2" x 4" and stamp Stripes using Versamark.
Sprinkle with Heat & Stick Powder and heat to melt
Cover with Gold Leafing and rub excess off using sponge.
Adhere to card base about 1" from top
Cut 2 pieces of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper 1/4" x 4"
Adhere to top and bottom of striped piece
Cut Early Espresso cardstock 1/4" x 2"
Stamp sentiment using Versamark
Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and shake off excess
Heat to melt
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere Gold Sequins
Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhre to inside of card.
