Queen Bee Birthday

I've been having lots of fun with the Queen Bee Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue.  When I saw Laura Millikin demonstrate her Million Dollar Stamp Set in Vienna, I knew I had to have it.  It's been fun creating cards with it.

Check out this pretty card I created on a recent Sketch Challenge.  Join me every Tuesday night at 6:30pm for my Sketch Challenges on Facebook or YouTube!

First, here's the sketch I used.

Now, here's the card I made.

So easy to create great cards with the stamp set and dies.  I paired the bundle with the Hive Embossing Folder.

Instructions

  1. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".  Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
  2. Cut Crushed Curry cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  3. Emboss using Hive Embossing Folder
  4. Use Crushed Curry ink with Blending Brush to apply ink to the embossed cardstock
  5. Cut ribbon 6" long and wrap ribbon around back of embossed cardstock and adhere to back
  6. Adhere to the card base
  7. Cut 4" of ribbon and tuck under left side of ribbon. Tie a single knot
  8. Cut Basic Black 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and adhere to card base about 1/4" from top
  9. Cut Basic White cardstock 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
  10. Stamp splattered words using Smoky Slate stamped off twice randomly on Basic White cardstock
  11. Adhere to the card base about 1/2" from top of Basic Black cardstock
  12. Cut 3 honeycombs from Crushed Curry cardstock using Die

  14. Stamp bee using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock
  15. Cut out using Die
  16. Colour flowers on wings using Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends
  17. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
  18. Stamp "Happy" and "Birthday on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  19. Cut out using Paper Snips
  20. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
