Casually Crafting Blog Hop - March 2023

I'm back with another casual card for the Casually Crafting Blog Hop. We're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that love to stamp and love to share. We share card and projects that are simple and easy to create with a few products and are perfect for the beginner and casual stamper. Our blog hop goes live on the third Saturday of each month. I hope you'll join us and "hop" around our group to be inspired!

Today we were challenged with colours - Pacific Point, So Saffron and Soft Suede. I have to admit, this was a real challenge for me. I used the Brewed for You Stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.

I did a video for my card and it was a terrible mess - my poor beer looks like it has hair instead of foam! Have you ever had an idea and have it go terribly wrong? Here's the first card I made - I've even shared the video below so you can see what now to do!

Now, here's the card I re-made where I'm happy to say it looks more like foam instead of hair!

Instructions (for my second card)

Cut Soft Suede cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut So Saffron cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
Stamp beer stein using Soft Suede ink
Stamp beer using So Saffron ink
Stamp beer stein on Masking paper and cut out using Paper Snips - cut close to line for better masking
Apply cut out image to stamped image.
Stamp beer stein to the right partly over the existing stamped image.
Gently remove masking paper and adhere over 2nd stamped image
Stamp beer stein above 2nd image partly over the existing stamped image.
Repeat until you have 5 stamped beer steins
Adhere to card base
Pull apart White Frayed Ribbon by pulling on end thread.
Roll ribbon frays together and adhere over first stamped beer stein using Dimensionals.
Stamp sentiment using Pacific Point ink
Cut the words apart and adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere embellishments
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp beer stein using Soft Suede ink in bottom right corner.
Stamp beer using So Saffron ink
Stamp foam using So Saffron ink stamped off
Adhere to the inside of the card.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
