Ginkgo Branches - Thinking of You

I love Ginkgo leaves! Have you noticed on my blog header that I have a ginkgo leaf! How could I not buy the Ginkgo Branches Bundle from the January to April Mini Catalogue!

Today I'm sharing a pretty card I made on a recent Technique Thursday. I had fun making an embossed background using strips of Distressed Gold Paper that I punched using the Happy Labels Pick a Punch. It's so easy to create an interesting background using this method with punched paper!

Check it out! Isn't this a perfect background for the pretty die cut Ginkgo leaves!

Instructions

Cut Night of Navy cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Night of Navy cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut 9 pieces of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper 1/2" x 3" and punch each end using the Happy Labels Pick a Punch.
Adhere them to the Night of Navy cardstock staggered.
Emboss the Night of Navy cardstock.
Adhere to the card base.
Cut out large ginkgo leave using Die from Night of Navy cardstock and 2 small ginkgo leaves from Basic White cardstock
Adhere to card base using Glue Dots with small leaves over larger leaf.
Cut Basic White cardstock 3/4" x 4"
Punch both ends using Happy Labels Punch
Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere embellishments
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp small ginkgo leaf in bottom right corner using Night of Navy ink.
Adhere to inside of card.

Monthly Card Club
