CASE a Friend Blog Hop

Today I'm participating in the CASE a Friend Blog Hop!  CASE means "Copy and Share Everything".  It's a great way to be inspired by creations by others.  Just make sure you acknowledge who you have CASE'd from when you share it.

Today I'm CASE'ing a card from Lorraine Tierney who is on the Creativity Abounds Team with me.  She shared this floating circle card on her blog recently and I just loved it.  My card today uses the same layout, but I'm using the Stampin' Up!® Heart and Home Suite.  I created this card on a recent Mystery Challenge on my Social Media where I challenged people to use the following colour combination for a card:

First let me show you Lorraine's card.  Isn't it pretty!  I love the Stampin' Up!® Flowering Tulips bundle and coordinating Designer Series Paper.

Now, here's my card

  1. Cut Thick Basic White card stock 4 1/4"x 11" and score at 5 1/2".  Fold on score line to form card base.
  2. Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base.
  3. Cut Basic White card stock 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
  4. Emboss using the Gingham Embossing Folder.
  5. Cut 3 strips of different patterns of DSP 1/2" x 4"
  6. Cut 2 strips of different patterns of DSP 3/4" x 4"
  7. Adhere these pieces to a piece of Window Sheet (approximately 3 1/2" x 3 1/2") - use either Stampin' Seal or Tear and Tape to adhere leaving approximately 1/8" between strip.
  8. Cut out Window Sheet and DSP using 2nd largest Layering Circle Die.
  9. Adhere circle to Basic White card stock using Foam Adhesive Strips - 1 strip behind each piece of DSP.
  10. Adhere to the card base.
  11. Cut out small flowers using Dies from Fresh Freesia card stock
  12. Cut out garland using Die from Garden Green and Crumb Cake card stock
  13. Adhere to the bottom of the circle using Glue Dots
  14. Adhere rhinestones to flowers.
  15. Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
  16. Stamp sentiment using Garden Green
  17. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Tutorial Bundle for the Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis, the Creativity Abounds Team has decided to create a Ukraine Fundraising Card Making Tutorial Bundle.

Who Are we?
The Creativity Abounds Design Team is a group of 13 Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. We come together every month to create a Tutorial Bundle, hold a blog hop and also host regular online Stamp Camps.

All 13 members of the Creativity Abounds Design Team quickly expressed their interest in helping to bring together this special, additional Tutorial Bundle. As this newsletter is sent, work is underway around the world to get cards designed and tutorials written and compiled.

We didn’t want to wait to start raising money though, because this is timely and help is needed now. Therefore the bundle is up for sale now. You can start to order and pay for yours and the tutorial will follow as quickly as we can bring it together. We envision it will be with you by the week beginning 21st March!

The theme for the projects is blue/yellow. I am excited to see what ideas everyone comes up with. I know they are all going to inspire you in your card making – and of course you will be able to change the colour of the projects to suit other occasions.

All the proceeds from the sale of these tutorials will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross as a contribution from the crafting community to the work they are carrying out with the people of Ukraine.

Stampin’ Up’s Statement of the Heart reads:
To LOVE what we do and SHARE what we love.
As we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments.
In this we MAKE A Difference.
The Creativity Abounds Design Team hope that in sharing what we love with you, together we might make a small difference.
How Can I Help?
Purchase your Tutorial Bundle now and we will deliver it to your in box as soon as it is available. We hope you enjoy all the projects inside.
Don’t hesitate to email me if I can help with your purchases, or if you have a crafty question.
