Christmas Lights Heat Embossed Z Fold Card

Time for a bit of an untraditional holiday card using Tahitian Tide!  I had fun creating this Z fold card using the Stampin' Up! Christmas Lights Bundle.  I shared this card as part of an Instahop with fellow demonstrators.  If you're on Instahop and don't follow me, check me out at @stampingwithmelva and click the follow button.  You can check out all of the amazing projects in the InstaHop as well!

Isn't this a fun card!  I embossed the snowflakes using White embossing powder before cutting them out and then layered a white background behind them.

  1. Cut Tahitian Tide cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".  Fold in half at 5 1/2" and then fold the 2 3/4" flap back. Burnish on score lines with Bone Folder to create card base.
  2. Cut 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock 2 1/2" x 4"
  3. Emboss using Wintry Embossing Folder
  4. Adhere to front flaps of card base
  5. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  6. Emboss top and bottom using Wintry Embossing Folder
  7. Cut Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" and adhere to the middle of the Basic White piece to hide seam line where you embossed top and bottom
  8. Adhere to inside of card base
  9. Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" and adhere to the 2 front flaps
  10. Cut Tahitian Tide cardstock 1 1/4" x 11" and score at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".  Fold in half at 5 1/2" and then fold the 2 3/4" flap back. Burnish on score lines with Bone Folder
  11. Adhere to card base with long side towards the front.
  12. Wrap Bakers Twine around hand 2-3 times.  Pinch in middle and remove.  Adhere to the front flap of card base
  13. Stamp 2 large snowflakes using VersaMark on Tahitian Tide cardstock
  14. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat to melt
  15. Cut out using Dies
  16. Cut out 2 large snowflakes from Basic White cardstock
  17. Adhere to back of embossed snowflakes
  18. Adhere to band of card base using Dimensionals.
  19. Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Tahitian Tide ink
  20. Cut out using die
  21. Adhere to inside of card so it is hidden by one of the snowflakes
  22. Cut out 4 small snowflakes from Tahitian Tide cardstock
  23. Adhere to card base
  24. Adhere embellishments
