Les Shoppes Pocket Card

I love the Les Shoppes Suite from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.  It's so fun to see all of the old fashioned shop windows.  Check out this fun pocket card I created on a recent sketch challenge.  I received a pocket card in the Incentive Trip Swap (less than 1% of Demonstrators earn the trip) and knew I had to CASE it.  Thank you Melissa Ellis for the inspiration.

I love the colour combination of Daffodil Delight and Misty Moonlight.  The Designer Series Paper makes it so easy to create a quick card - I just cut the cut shop front from the paper.  The surprise is on the pocket where I stamped a store front and coloured it with my Stampin' Blends.  I even coloured the ribbon using the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to make it match!  How fun is that!

First, check out the sketch.  You can use this sketch to create non-pocket card too!  Join me on Tuesday at 2pm Pacific for my Sketch Challenges.

Now, here's the card I created.

  1. Cut Misty Moonlight 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Fold and burnish on scoreline to form card base.
  2. Cut Daffodil Delight cardstock 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using Exposed Brick Embossing Folder
  3. Use Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink to the embossed cardstock
  4. Adhere to the card base.
  5. Cut Misty Moonlight cardstock 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
  6. Cut Designer Series Paper 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
  7. Adhere Designer Series Paper to Misty Moonlight cardstock
  8. Apply Tear and Tape Adhesive to 3 edges of Misty Moonlight
  9. Adhere to the card base about 1/4" from sides and bottom - leave top of the cardstock open - this creates the pocket
  10. Cut Basic White cardstock 3" x 4 1/2"
  11. Stamp sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink about 3/4" from top
  12. Stamp shop about 1/2" from bottom using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  13. Colour using Stampin' Blends - Copper Clay, Daffodil Delight, Misty Moonlight
  14. Punch hole in top of piece using Very Best Trio Punch - Ribbon Slot
  15. Cut 4" of ribbon and colour with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend
  16. Attach to Basic White cardstock through ribbon slot
  17. Insert into pocket
  18. Cut out shop from Designer Series Paper
  19. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
  20. Cut out flower pot from Designer Series Paper
  21. Adhere to card base using Dimensioals
  22. Adhere Brushed Brass Butterflies
  23. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  24. Stamp flower pot in bottom right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  25. Colour using Stampin' Blends - Smoky Slate and Old Olive
