SU! Trip Achievers Blog Hop - August 2023

Welcome to the Trip Achievers Blog Hop.  I am so honoured to be participating in this Blog Hop and I am so thankful for the support I received from my Customers and Team Members so that I could achieve this trip (less than 1% of demonstrators world wide earn this trip)!  Thank you so much!

I had fun playing with the Hello Kiwi on today's card.  Don't these kiwis look yummy!  I created this card on a recent sketch challenge.  Join me at 2pm Pacific each Tuesday for a new sketch.  Here's the sketch I used for my card.

The two step stamping for this stamp set makes it so easy to create different kinds of fruit.  I love kiwi so that was my choice to the card.  It reminds me of the kiwi trees that grew in a neighbours yard in New Westminster, BC.  The squirrels got most of the fruit - it was fun to watch them running through the yard with a big kiwi in their mouths!

I added a pop of Poppy Parade to my card - love the colour combination!

Instructions

  1. Cut Granny Apple Green cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".  Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
  2. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
  3. Emboss using Exposed Brick Embossing Folder
  4. Adhere to card base
  5. Cut Poppy Parade cardstock 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" (this was added on the live and isn't in the sketch measurements)
  6. Cut Basic White cardstock 3" x 4"
  7. Stamp outline of Kiwi using Old Olive ink around cardstock
  8. Stamp inside of Kiwi using Granny Apple Green ink stamped off
  9. Adhere to Poppy Parade cardstock
  10. Adhere to card base
  11. Cut Poppy Parade cardstock 1" x 3"
  12. Adhere across middle of cardstock
  13. Punch circle from Basic White cardstock using 1 3/4" Circle Punch
  14. Punch circle from Granny Apple Green cardstock using 2" Circle Punch
  15. Stamp sentiment on Basic White Circle using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  16. Stamp spatter on sentiment using Granny Apple Green ink
  17. Adhere to the Granny Apple circle
  18. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
  19. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  20. Stamp kiwi in bottom right corner using Old Olive ink and Granny Apple Green ink stamped off
  21. Adhere to the inside of the card
  22. Adhere Parakeet Party Pearls to card front.

  1. Yes the kiwi fruit looks delicious! And I would love to see a squirrel with one in his mouth.😂 The Granny Apple and Poppy Parade look brilliant together. Thanks Melva for taking part in the Trip Achievers Blog Hop this month.
