Casually Crafting Blog Hop - October 2023

I'm back with another casual card for the Casually Crafting Blog Hop. We're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that love to stamp and love to share.  We share card and projects that are simple and easy to create with a few products and are perfect for the beginner and casual stamper.  Our blog hop goes live on the third Saturday of each month.  I hope you'll join us and "hop" around our group to be inspired!

This month we're sharing projects based on a sketch.  Sketch challenges are my favourite and this sketch was fun to use!  Check it out!

I have to admit that when I saw it, I was immediately doing math to try to figure out the size of the squares.  Then a light bulb went on and I realized that I could use one piece of Designer Series Paper and strips of cardstock to separate!  How easy is that!  Isn't this card pretty!

Instructions

  1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".  Fold and burnish on scoreline to form card base.
  2. Cut Berry Burst cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  3. Cut Designer Series Paper 3 3/4" x 5"
  4. Cut 3 strips of Basic White cardstock 1/4" x 6"
  5. Adhere one strip down the middle of Designer Series Paper - trim off excess
  6. Adhere the other 2 strips across the Designer Series Paper - making 3 equal sized squares.  Trim off excess
  7. Adhere Designer Series Paper to Berry Burst cardstock
  8. Adhere to card base.
  9. Cut Basic White cardstock 3/4" x 3"
  10. Stamp sentiment using Berry Burst ink
  11. Wrap Linen Thread around palm of hand.  Pinch in the middle and remove
  12. Adhere to card base
  13. Adhere sentiment label over thread using Dimensionals
  14. Adhere Iridescent Rhinestones
  15. Cut Designer Series Paper 3/4" x 4"
  16. Adhere to bottom of inside of card.
