Festive Friday Challenge #146 - Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

This week’s challenge FF #146 - Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. Today we're sharing cards celebrating Remembrance or Veteran's Day. In Canada it's Remembrance Day and it's a holiday across many parts of Canada. There are events held at local Cenotaphs at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month to commemorate the end of World War I. Everyone wears poppies leading up to November 11th.

I used red, black and poppies from the Inspo list to create my card using the Stampin' Up! Season of Chic Bundle. I love how it turned out.

Instructions

Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using a Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Real Red cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
Embossing Basic White cardstock using Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
Adhere to Real Red cardstock
Adhere to the card base.
Cut grid using Die from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
Adhere to card base
Cut 2 flowers using Die from Real Red cardstock
Cut 2 detailed flowers using Die from Basic Black cardstock
Adhere detailed flower die cut to each of the Real Red flowers
Cut 2 flower centres using Die from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper
Adhere to centre of flowers using Mini Dimensional
Adhere flowers to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere a Textured Element using a Glue Dot tucked behind the flowers
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere black Sparkle Gems
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp red flower in bottom right corner using Real Red ink
Stamp detail on flower using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Adhere to inside of card.
