Technique Squad Blog Hop - October 2023 - Stenciling

Welcome to the Technique Squad Blog Hop! I'm excited to join the Technique Squad Blog Hop for the first time this month! Each month we hop to share a different technique with you in hopes to inspire you to give it a try! This month the technique is stencilling.

I'm sharing one of my favourite new products in the Sept to Dec Mini Catalogue - the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. Perfect stencils for any season. I've used the snowflake mask to apply coloured Embossing Paste. Such a pretty background!

Instructions

Cut Night of Navy cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline to form card base
Cut Balmy Blue cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Basic White cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Layer on stencil and use post it note tape or washi tape to hold in place.
Mix Shimmery Embossing Paste with 2 drops of Balmy Blue Reinker. You can add more or less depending on the colour you want.
Mix
Apply embossing paste over stencil using Palette knife. Clean off excesss
Let dry
Cut to 3 3/4" x 5"
Adhere to Balmy Blue cardstock
Adhere to card base
Cut Basic White cardstock 1" x 3 3/4"
Stamp sentiment using Night of Navy ink
Cut Night of Navy cardstock 1 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Adhere Basic White cardstock to Night of Navy cardstock
Cut 12" of Silver ribbon
Zig Zag in bottom right corner and adhere sentiment over top
Adhere rhinestones in the centre of each snowflake
Cut Basic White cardstock
Stamp sentiment in middle using Night of Navy ink
Adhere to inside of card.
