Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Today I'm hopping with the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop. Our theme for this hop is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge. This is one of my favourite types of challenges to do. So many possibilities!

Here's the challenge we were given. In a Tic Tac Toe Challenge you can choose any row - vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Which would you choose?

I chose the first vertical line - Thank You, Embossing and DSP - and use the amazing Simply Zinnia Bundle to create this pretty card! Two types of embossing on my card - heat embossing for the sentiment and an embossing folder for the background.

Instructions

Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock and emboss using Zinnia Embossing Folder.
Cut Basic Black cardstock 2 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper 2" x 5 1/4" and adhere to Basic Black cardstock
Adhere to embossed Basic White cardstock
Cut 16" of ribbon and colour using Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend. Let dry
Wrap around bottom of card front and tie a bow on the right side
Adhere to card base
Stamp flower and leaves on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Colour flower using Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends
Colour leaves using Old Olive Stampin' Blends
Cut out using Dies.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Cut sprigs from Old Olive cardstock
Adhere behind leaves and flower using Glue Dots.
Adhere Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
Cut Basic Black cardstock 1" x 2 1/4"
Stamp sentiment using Versamark Ink
Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat to melt.
Cut each end at an angle
Cut Gorgeous Grape cardstock 1 1/4" x 2 1/2"
Adhere sentiment to Gorgeous Grape cardstock using Dimensionals and cut ends at an angle.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp 3 sets of dots in bottom right corner using Gorgeous Grape ink
Adhere to inside of card

Techniques Across the Border

Join Lorraine and I and learn (or learn more) about a new technique each month. Our class will be held via Zoom on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am Pacific. We will explore the technique and make 4 projects in each class.

There are 2 options for each class:

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon or embossing folder. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.
