Festive Friday #160 - Father's Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. This week’s challenge FF #159 - Father's Day

I used masculine colours, wood elements, twine, alcohol markers and a thanks sentiment on my card featuring the Latte Love Bundle - an Online Exclusive Suite from Stampin' Up! This was a fun card to make on a recent sketch challenge. Here's the sketch I used.

Here's the card I created. Isn't it fun! Perfect for anyone who loves coffee!

Instructions

Cut Basic Gray cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base
Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base
Cut Basic Gray cardstock 2" x 3 1/4" (note - when I made the card live I cut the wrong size so this is smaller than in the sketch - LOL)
Cut Basic White cardstock 1 7/8" x 3 1/8"
Stamp beans and splatter randomly on Basic White cardstock using Basic Beige ink
Adhere to Basic Gray cardstock
Cut circle from Basic Gray cardstock using Deckled Circle Die (2 1/2" size)
Adhere to card base
Adhere stamped cardstock over 1/2 of circle
Stamp cup on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Colour using Stampin' Blends - Smoky Slate
Colour top using Wink of Stella
Cut out using Die
Wrap twine around hand 2-3 times. Pinch in middle and remove from and
Adhere to cardbase
Adhere cup over twine using Dimensionals
Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Stamp sentiment using Basic Gray ink
Cut banner ends on both ends
Adhere to card base
Adhere Pearls
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp beans and splatter in bottom right corner using Basic Gray ink
Adhere to the inside of the card.

Techniques Across the Border

Join Lorraine and I and learn (or learn more) about a new technique each month. Our class will be held via Zoom on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am Pacific. We will explore the technique and make 4 projects in each class.
