Technique Tuesday - June 2024 - Vintage

Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our theme is "Vintage".

There was a time when distressing of a card to make it vintage was one of my favourite techniques! I don't do that much these days, but I always love the final card when I do! Check out this pretty vintage cards in one of my favourite colour combinations - Boho Blue and Early Espresso. I used the Spotlight on Nature Bundle for my card.

Instructions

Cut Early Espresso cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base
Cut Boho Blue cardstock 4" x 5 1/4".
Emboss using So Swirly Embossing Folder
Apply Boho Blue ink to embossed cardstock using Blending Brush
Distress the edge using Early Espresso ink with Blending Brush
Use edge of Paper Snips to rough edges of Boho Blue cardstock
Tie twine around bottom and tie a bow
Adhere to card base
Cut largest circle using Die from Basic White cardstock
Tear a piece of cardstock or grid paper and use edge to apply Crumb Cake ink to circle using Blending Brush
Stamp flower image on circle using Early Espresso ink
Stamp cross hatch and splatter on circle using Crumb Cake ink stamped off
Distress edge using Crumb Cake ink using Blending Brush
Use edge of Paper Snips to rough edges of circle
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Cut Basic White cardtock 3/4" x 2"
Stamp sentiment using Boho Blue ink
Cut tag end on right end
Cut Boho Blue cardstock 1" x 2 1/4"
Cut tag end on right end
Adhere sentiment to Boho Blue cardstock
Adhere to left side of card using Dimensionals
Adhere Boho Blue Sparkle Gems
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp cross hatch in bottom right corner using Early Espresso ink.
