Festive Friday Challenges #185 - Fathers Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. This week’s challenge FF # 185 - Father's Day

What would you choose from the Inspo List? I chose textured cardstock, geometric design and masculine sentiment for my items for this fun Sunrise Sailing Card.

My husband and I sailed for 14 years around the Gulf Islands in British Columbia so I had fun remembering our travels while making this card! I love the new 2025-2027 In Colors so used them as the backdrop for the card. This card was inspired by one of the swap cards I saw on the recent Stampin' Up Incentive Trip. I'm sorry I don't know who made the card I saw (if it was yours, please let me know and I will give you credit!). (Required Disclaimer - less than 1% of all Demonstrators earn the Incentive Trip each year).

Instructions

Cut Cloud Cover cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Cut 5 pieces of In Color cardstock each 1" x 3 3/4"
Adhere to the Basic White cardstock
Emboss using the Sunrise Sailing Embossing Folder.
Adhere to the card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 2 3/4" x 4"
Add Secret Sea ink lightly using Blending Brush
Stamp sentiment in bottom right corner using Secret Sea ink.
Cut out cloud from Basic White cardstock using Die.
Cut out large and small sailboats from Secret Sea cardstock using dies
Cut out large and small sails from Darling Duckling cardstock using dies.
Adhere sails to sailboats.
Adhere sailboats to card base using Dimensionals.
Adhere cloud to card base using Dimensionals
Tie a small bow from Linen Thread and adhere to top of mast of large sailboat.
Adhere Secret Sea Flat Pearls
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp waves on bottom using Secret Sea ink
Adhere to inside of card.
