Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - June 2025 - Paper Piecing

Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month our theme is "Paper Piecing". This is one of my favourite techniques and I'm always on the look out for the perfect stamp for paper piecing!

Today I've used the Gallery Blooms Bundle - the flowers seemed like a great size for cutting. I stamped them on a beautiful piece of the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper in Lost Lagoon and then cut them out. Paper piecing means that you layer the stamped and cut images onto the same stamped image. It gives you great texture and depth.

Check out this pretty card in a beautiful new colour combination for me - Lost Lagoon, Early Espresso and Basic Beige!

Instructions

Cut Lost Lagoon cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using a Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Early Espresso 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Cut Basic Beige cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
Emboss using the Damask Designs Embossing Foldere
Splatter using Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend.
Adhere to Early Espresso cardstock
Adhere to the card base.
Cut Lost Lagoon Designer Series Paper (Pattern 1) 2" x 3 3/4"
Adhere to middle of card base.
Cut Basic White cardstock 2 1/2" x 4"
Use Blending Brush to lightly apply Lost Lagoon in
Stamp flower using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White cardstock
Cut out using Die
Stamp flowers on Designer Series Paper (Pattern 2) and cut out using Paper Snips.
Adhere to flower.
Colour flowers using Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.
Adhere to Basic White cardstock
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Cut Designer Series Paper (Pattern 1) 1/2" x 2 3/4"
Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Adhere embellishments
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper (Pattern 2) 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to Basic White cardstock
Adhere to inside of card.
