Festive Friday Challenge - FF0199 - National Candy Cane Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. This week’s challenge FF #199 - National Candy Cane Day

I used red, white, green, sequins, shaker card, Christmas tree and Christmas sentiment from the Inspo List!

This is a frameless Shaker Card. It's a fun and easy way to create a shaker card using a Clear Envelope that forms the front layer of the card. If you're looking for other ways to make Shaker Cards, check out these videos on my YouTube Channel:

I used the A Little Cheer Bundle from Stampin' Up!® to create shaker bits to add to the Sequin Stars. Fun, right!

Instructions

Cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form the back of the card base.
Cut Window Sheet 4" x 5 1/4"
Wipe with the Embossing Buddy and then insert into a Clear Envelope.
Stamp the about 10 trees using Mossy Meadow ink, 10 stars using Darling Duckling ink and 10 stockings using Cherry Cobbler ink.
Punch out stamped images.
Put 1 of each punched image aside.
Insert into the front side of the clear envelope.
Add Gold Sequins into front side of clear envelope.
Add a piece of Tear and Tape to the top opening and seal the Clear Envelope.
Fold the Cherry Cobbler cardstock closed and turn upside down so that the opening is at the top.
Insert the flap of the Clear Envelope between the 2 sides of the Cherry Cobbler cardbase. Remove the adhesive and adhere.
Adhere the Cherry Cobbler cardstock closed using Tear n' Tape.
Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to the inside of the card.
Cut Basic White cardstock 2 3/4" x 4"
Stamp string at top of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Stamp stars, stockings and trees along string using Darling Duckling ink, Cherry Cobbler ink and Mossy Meadow ink
Adhere to the inside of the card.
Punch out circle from Cherry Cobbler cardstock using 2" Circle Punch
Punch Basic White circle using 1 3/4" Circle Punch
Stamp sentiment on Basic White circle using Cherry Cobbler ink
Adhere punched images around sentiment using Mini Dimensionals.
Adhere in left corner of Card front using Dimensionals.
Wrap twine around top of clear envelope 2-3 times and tie a bow.
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink
Adhere to the back of the card.
