Time for a Global Creative Connection Instahop! I love sharing projects each month with such a talented group of Friends! This month our theme is "Spring Fling" with Watercolor Pencils.

Have you seen the gorgeous Flowers Fair Stamp Set? I love it and how perfect is it to show of the amazing Watercolor Pencils from Stampin' Up!®.

Isn't this gorgeous in Fresh Freesia and Basic Black! I colour using Fresh Freesia, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Real Red after I heat embossed the image using Black Embossing Powder.

I like to emboss the image I'm colouring as it create a bit of a barrier so my water colouring doesn't go too far outside the lines! LOL. I used a Water Painter over the pencil but you can also use our Blender Pens. Once I coloured the image I cut it out using a Party Banner Die and popped it up on a slightly larger Basic Black Banner. Gorgeous!

Instructions

Cut Basic Black cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using a Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Fresh Freesia cardstock 4" x 5 1/14"
Stamp image on Fresh Freesia cardstock using Fresh Freesia ink stamped off.
Adhere to the card base.
Use Embossing Buddy on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
Stamp image on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper using Versamark.
Sprinkle with Black WOW Embossing Powder and heat to melt.
Colour images using Watercolor Pencils - I used Fresh Freesia, Melon Mambo, Real Red, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. Use a WaterPainter or a Blender Pen to blend the Watercolor Pencils.
Cut out using the 3rd largest Party Banner Die
Cut out 2nd largest Party Banner Die from Basic Black cardstock
Adhere stamped image banner to the Basic Black Banner.
Cut holes in the top on both sides using Dies.
Run ribbon through holes and tie a bow at the front
Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals.
Use Embossing Buddy on Basic Black cardstock
Stamp sentiment on Basic Black cardstock using Versamark.
Sprinkle with White WOW Embossing Powder and heat to melt.
Punch out using middle banner from Three Banner Punch.
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Adhere Silver Metallic Gems.
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp sentiment in middle using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Stamp flowers in bottom right corner and colour with Watercolor Pencils. Using Blender Pen to smooth colour.
Adhere to the inside of the card.
