Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - March 2026 - Embossing Folders

Time for another Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.  This month the theme is "Embossing Folders".

I created this lovely card using the Stone & Vine Embossing Folder.  It's pretty just the way it is or your can add some colour to the embossing folder with your ink pad or a brayer to make the detail pop!  I love how this one looks like a plaster relief now.


Instructions

  1. Cut Mossy Meadow cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
  2. Cut Crumb Cake cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  3. Emboss using Stone & Vine Embossing Folder.
  4. Swipe Crumb Cake ink pad over the Embossing Folder on the side with the Stampin' Up!® logo.
  5. Insert cardstock and run through the Stampin' Cut n' Emboss Machine.
  6. Trim embossed cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5" (save scraps for inside)
  7. Wrap Linen Thread around middle and tie a small bow on right hand side.
  8. Adhere to card base.
  9. Cut out label from Basic White cardstock using Die.
  10. Stamp sentiment on right hand side using Mossy Meadow ink.
  11. Stamp 2 leaves on left hand side using Crumb Cake cardstock stamped off.
  12. Adhere to cardbase over Linen Thread using Dimensionals.
  13. Adhere embellishments
  14. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  15. Trim embossed cardstock piece to 1/2" x 5 1/4"
  16. Adhere to right hand side of card base.
  17. Adhere to the inside of the card
