Back to Reality and on to Project Life!

Tuesday, 22 July 2014

I'm back at home after a wonderful week in Salt Lake City.  I love it when I can dedicate time to stamping and being creative - it seems I just don't have enough time at home.  I'm sure that's the same for many of you.

Stampin' Up! has an amazing product called Project Life By Stampin' Up! which is perfect for those of us that love memory keeping (aka scrapbooking) but just don't have the time to do it.  I played with it at Convention and can't wait to get started.  It's easy to do using journalling cards and photos you can create great page to keep track of your memories.  I'm planning a class on September 30th at 7pm where you can bring along some pictures of your summer vacation (or whatever you choose) and you'll learn how to use Project Life and go home with 4 pages of your album already finished.  You can email me to reserve your spot.  I'll be posting more information about the class over the next few weeks - start gathering your pictures now!

Happy Stamping!

On my Way Home!

Sunday, 20 July 2014

It's Sunday morning and I'm at the airport in Salt Lake City waiting for my flight home.  I've had a wonderful time in SLC attending the Late Night Stampers Pre-Event and the Stampin' Up! Convention.

This is my 4th Convention and I've loved every one of them.  It's so much fun to catch up with old friends and to make new friends.  I learn so much  - tips and techniques and come home with so many ideas.  I can't wait to share them with you.  I'll be posting a new class schedule over the next few days  - stay tuned!

I wanted to share my last Convention Swap Card.  This one was made for the Canada Inks Up! Team Swap.  It uses the new SU! Blendabilities.  These are alcohol markers and you can do some colouring and blending to create beautiful cards and projects.

Did you notice the rhinestones?  You can colour rhinestones, pearls and buttons with the Blendabilities to add a pop of coordinating colour to your project!

Stay tuned for some upcoming postings that will include sneak peaks using products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue - available August 28th!

Happy Stamping!

A now the end is near...

Saturday, 19 July 2014

Today is the last day of convention.  It was a very busy day yesterday - we were busy from 8:30 to 10 last night with all sorts of activities including the Awards Night and After Party.  My friend (and Upline) Alison Solven achieved Founders Circle - so well deserved!
I'm loving the Make and Takes from Convention - here's the one we made yesterday.  It's a card holder - decorated of course! and 3 cards.  All made with the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set.

This project uses the Amazing Birthday Stamp set - I love this!  As you can see so many ways to use it.

Off I go for the last day - always sad!  Looking forward to swapping with the Canada Inks Up! Team.  I'll share some of those swaps and others I've received over the next few days.
Happy stamping!

Getting Ready for Day 2

Friday, 18 July 2014

The first full day at SU! Convention is over and I think there were 4000 very tired Demonstrators after a great day that included the launch of the Holiday Catalogue - yes Christmas goodies!

Waiting patiently for the doors to open :) and swapping (of course!)

The Catalogue is amazing!  I was able to go shopping and will be bringing some new stamp sets and other products home with me so stay tuned for samples and projects!  My advice is for you to start saving your pennies as you are going to want it ALL!

You will be able to order August 28th so email me or text me to reserve your copy!

Here is a sample of the card we made yesterday - I love these!  I'll be scheduling a class soon using the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set - email me if you want to hold a spot!

Here I go on to Day 2 - Stay Tuned!

Convention Day 1

Thursday, 17 July 2014

It was the start of SU! Convention yesterday.  We had fun picking up our bags - love it.  Check it out.  We also picked up our goodies including three stamp sets which we'll be using over the next few days to make some cool projects. We're up early this morning.  Meeting in the lobby at 7:30 to head over to the Convention Centre.  4000 of my closest friends will be there too!
Sorry for the blurry picture - it's early and either my eyes or the camera's haven't woken up yet!
Pop over to my Stamping With Melva Facebook page and check out the fun Flip Out video we made last night!  Was such a fun evening.

Will post again after Day 1.

Stay tuned!
