I wanted to share with you cards made with some of my favourite retiring stamp sets.  I will be very sad to see these ones go!

World of Dreams (Item 134186)  This set is perfect for lots of occasions!

Cupcake Party (Item 134126)  This card was a swap I made for an event at last year's convention.  I love how happy this set and the colours makes me feel!

Swallowtail (Item 129216)  I will be most sad to see this set go - I love how this set can be the focal point of a card or be used as a background.

I can't wait to share the new catalogue with you.  I will have catalogues for you by mid May.  If you'd like a catalogue, please email me.  If you have a favourite stampset or product that is retiring, you can order online or email me and I'll submit your order for you.  Don't miss out!

Missing in action...but hope to be back soon

Tuesday, 12 April 2016

I've been missing in action for a couple of weeks - it's been crazy.  Our house went up for sale last week so we've been working to get it ready for that.  It's now sold - just took 1 week, so I guess the hard work paid off in the end.  The down side is that my craft room got packed up and I haven't had a chance to do much.

I spent last weekend at a lovely crafting retreat hosted by my friends Liane and Rose.  What a lovely weekend to spend being creative and catching up with friends and meeting new friends.  I was pretty productive - got all of my recent trip pictures into a Project Life album, got my swap cards ready for April, finished a Paper Pumpkin kit and then spent some time playing with Zentangle!

I wanted to share some of the amazing Fancy Fold cards I received from some friends as part of a swap I'm in.  I posted my card previously. Check it out here.

First the card from Colleen Vassos.  I love this fold and of course love the butterflies!

Next the amazing card from Diane Evans.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  The black and crumb cake are stunning together!

Finally this amazing card from Ginny Duncan.  I love this fold and of course love the Botanical Builder Framelits.

Here are this week's specials.  Remember, there will be weekly specials only until the 18th. So this is the second to last one.

We're coming close to the end of the Occasions Catalogue and also the Annual Catalogue.  The list of items that will be retiring will be out soon.  If you've had some items on your wish list for a while, don't delay in ordering them.  If they are announced as retiring, they will likely sell out quickly.  Don't forget we get 5 new In Colours with the new catalogue, but that also means that 5 retire - Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist.  The ink pads, cardstock, ink refills and markers as well as coordinating embellishments and ribbons will all retire.  In past years once the retired list is announced, all of these sell out VERY quickly!

Better late than never

Thursday, 17 March 2016

I'm posting a couple of days late this week, apologies for that.  I'm away on a business trip to Regina, SK.  Last week I posted that spring had arrived and it felt that way in Regina on Monday, but yesterday I woke up to snow and it's turned cold here.  Boy the wind sure is cold when you walk to work!  I've been in Regina a lot this winter and it has been a very mild winter here - very little snow and not too many days of really cold weather.

I wanted to share a fancy fold card with you.  I really like the soft colours on this card.  I used the Balloon Celebration Stampset from the Occasions Catalogue. I stamped the stem and "dandelion fluff" image (not sure what it is actually called) multiple times using versa mark and then embossed using White Embossing Powder.  I then watercolored over it using Pool Party.

I'll post the template and more instructions for this cards on my next post.

Spring seems to have arrived!

Tuesday, 8 March 2016

It's hard to believe that it's March already.  On the West Coast, Spring seems to have arrived.  When the cherry blossoms come out, it's my sign of Spring.  It's my favourite time of the year.

I wanted to share some cards made from the Botanical Gardens Bundle.  I love all of the cards I see made with the stamp set, framelits and DSP.  Not quite cherry blossoms but definitely tropical!

The first card is a card I made for a swap I'm in with amazing stampers from across Canada.  I used the Botanical Gardens DSP as the inside of the card - did you know that on some of the papers you can actually stamp on it?  In this case I stamped the insides of many of the flowers using the stamp set.  For the flower in Cajun Craze I added some gold Wink of Stella to the inner petals and also coloured a large pearl for the middle in gold.  I stamped a few flower images using a small flower stamp from Botanicals For You from the Sale-a-Bration Catalogue.  Looking at it now, I should have added a few more :)

Here's another card using very similar colours to mine above.

This set using Lost Lagoon and Cajun Craze along with the DSP.

This set uses the Botanicals For You Stampset from Sale-a-Bration along with the Botanical Gardens DSP and Framelits.  The Botanicals For You stampset is only available until the end of March during Sale-a-Bration.  You can get it for free with a $60 order - a perfect time to order the Botanical Gardens Bundle.  The bundle includes the Botanical Blooms Stamp Set, Botanical Gardens DSP and the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies - all for $64.75.  Plus you will earn 1 free Sale-A-Bration item!

Do these cards inspire you?  Interested in learning more or in placing an order before Sale-a-Bration is over, email me!
