Hello again!

Monday, 27 May 2013

I has been such a long time since I last posted.  I'm now home from my work in Singapore - what a fabulous country and a great experience.  I was blogging about my experience while I was there so if you're interested in having a look, here's the link - http://adventuresandotherramblings.blogspot.ca/

I'm finally back at being creative - both paper and digital.  I've created a lovely scrapbook for a friend Stampin' Up! demonstrators and we stamped and visited for 3 hours.  Some of the ladies made the trip down from Kamloops to spend the day with us! What a great way to get the creative juices flowing.  I wanted to share some of the amazing cards that these ladies designed.

Here's my card.  I created this card for my husband's birthday and loved the way it turned out.  It uses the triple stamp technique with The Open Sea Stamp Set.  I embossed and distressed each of the matted layers before I adhered them to the card. I love how this card turned out!

The next card was designed by Diane Evans (check out her blog) and is a variation on the Triple Stamp technique using the By the Tide Stamp set.

Another beautiful card using the Postage Due Stamp set designed by Karen Gilbert (check out her blog). She's used Designer Series Paper from the Epic Day This and That collection.  Love that set of papers!

Finally the card designed by my upline, Alison Solven (check out her blog).  This stamp set is called Simply Sketched and is a sneak peak from the new catalogue that comes out this Friday.  Simply Sketched is a hostess set and can be yours when you spend $200.  I love this card - so simple, but very beautiful!

I'll share more pictures of the cards we made over the next few days.  In the mean time, if you haven't received your new catalogue yet, email me and I will make sure you get a copy!  It is amazing with some great new products!  I can't wait until Friday when I can place my order.

If you're interested in getting together with a group of your friends to stamp or learn more about Stampin' Up! products, let me know.  I'd be happy to help you set up a party to do just what we did yesterday - but the best thing is you just have to come to stamp, I'll have everything cut and ready for you!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Stamping!

Hello from Singapore

Sunday, 3 March 2013

I finally have had a chance to create some pages of some of the sights from Singapore.  My husband arrived for a visit on Saturday so we've been playing tourist for the weekend.  It's really hot and humid here and you definitely feel it when you're out and about.  Thankfully there are lots of air conditioned spots, including the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) trains.

As I mentioned before I didn't bring any stamping supplies with me, but of course I always have My Digital Studio (MDS2).  Here's a couple of pages I created from this weekends tours.  We went to Chinatown yesterday and then for a ride on the Singapore Flyer today.

If you're interested in learning more about MDS2, email me.  I'd be happy to share with you.  You can get a 30 day trial for free, click here for more information or here to download.

Missing in Action

Thursday, 21 February 2013

I realize that it has been a while since I've posted.  As I mentioned in an earlier post I will be in Singapore to do some work until the end of April.  I wasn't able to bring any of my stamping supplies along, but I do plan to spend time making some digital albums while here (thanks goodness for My Digital Studio!).
If you are interested in following some of my adventures I have created another blog. http://adventuresandotherramblings.blogspot.ca/
I arrived on Wednesday and am looking forward to doing some exploring on the weekend.  That will mean some pictures to start my album with.
Stay tuned!

More samples of Valentine Treat Holders

Monday, 11 February 2013

It's getting closer to Valentine's Day and I've finished the few cards and chocolate treat holders that I give.  Yesterday I had lots of fun being creative with a friend of mine.  We played yesterday afternoon - made some cards and other creations and more importantly had lots of time to chat and visit.  I even brought my dog along to play with her 2 dogs and they got along famously!

Here's a few pictures of the treat holders.  I made these using the petal cone die by cutting 2 pieces and attaching them with double sided tape and then embellished.  I love how these turned out.  I had posted a picture of the one I had made last week using First Edition Designer Series Paper.  These ones use the More Amore Speciality DSP.  There are so many great embellishments in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalogue and I've used a number of them on these samples.

I can't wait to give these away!  Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
Happy Stamping.
