Festive Friday #0076 - Chinese New Year

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge! Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and a Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project. We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

This week’s challenge #FF0076 is Chinese New Year on February 12th. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. For today's challenge, I selected red, gold and foil paper from this week’s Inspo List to create this great little gift for someone special in your life. I hope you will join us in our challenge this week. I can’t wait to see what YOU create.

The inspiration for my project started with the amazing Potted Succulents Dies from the new Stampin' Up! January to June Mini Catalogue! I cut the overlay die out of Real Red Cardstock and adhered it to the top of a Gold Mini Pizza Box. Add some Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon, a sentiment from the the Enjoy the Moment stamp set and some Gilded Gems - makes a quick and easy gift box!

For the note cards I cut 3 pieces of Real Red cardstock 3" x 6" and scored at 3". For the embellishment, I cut the overlay pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and adhered them to the note card. The sentiment is from the Enjoy the Moment stampset - stamped in Real Red ink.

Instructions

Cut Real Red cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Cut Overlay die from Real Red Cardstock.
Trim to 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" - Make sure your trimmer blade is sharp and that you don't drag the blade - you could tear the cardstock.
Adhere to the top of a Gold Mini Pizza Box using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Wrap about ribbon around palm of hand 2-3 times and then pull off, pinch in the middle and adhere to the top of the box using Stampin' Seal.
Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 1" x 3"
Stamp sentiment using Real Red ink
Cut tag end
Cut Real Red cardstock 1 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Cut tag end
Adhere Very Vanilla piece to Real Red piece using Stampin' Seal.
Adhere to top of box using Dimensionals.
Add 3 Gilded Gems
Cut 3 pieces of Real Red cardstock 3" x 6".
Fold in half to form note card
Cut 3 Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper overlay pieces to 2 3/4" x 2 3/4".
Adhere to note card front using Stampin' Seal - apply the adhesive in the middle - the label will cover the adhesive.
Cut 3 pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock 3/4" x 2". Cut tag end in each
Stamp sentiment using Real Red cardstock.
Adhere to the note cards.
