Festive Friday Challenge #0093 - Balloons Around the World Day

It's time for another Festive Friday Challenge!  Every second Friday we post a challenge for you with a specific theme and an Inspo List of 10 items to choose from to create your project.  We encourage you to create a project based on the theme and Inspo List and then post it using at least 3 items from the inspiration list.

This week’s challenge FF #0093 - Balloons Around the World Day

Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project and link up! #festivefridaychallenge  At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. I hope you’ll make a card, scrapbook page or 3-D project and join us. You don’t need a blog to enter Festive Friday. Check out this link on how you can play along with this challenge. If you want help entering, please email me at stampinwithmelva@gmail.com and I’d be happy to help you!

For my card I used the Counting Sheep Stamp Set and Sheep Dies that are available during Sale-a-Bration to create this diagonal fold card.  This Stamp Set and the coordinating dies are so adorable and are perfect for a birthday card for someone special!

Instructions
  1. Score a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Basic Black card stock in half at 4 1/4".  Turn and score in half at 5 1/2"
  2. Cut the piece in half on the diagonal - one sheet will give you 2 cards.
  3. Fold on the score lines to form card base.
  4. Emboss the bottom triangle using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
  5. Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4".  Cut in half on the diagonal.
  6. Adhere to the top corner of the card base using Stampin' Seal.
  7. Stamp sheep using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock
  8. Colour using Smoky Slake Stampin' Blends.
  9. Cut out using die
  10. Cut out balloons from Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight card stock.
  11. Adhere to the card base using Glue Dots and Dimensionals.
  12. Adhere sheep to card base using Dimensionals
  13. Colour with Wink of Stella
  14. Cut 2 pieces of 6" of Black and White Twine.  Tie a bow with the 2 pieces.
  15. Adhere to the balloons.
  16. Stamp sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
  17. Punch out using Double Oval Punch.
  18. Punch out scalloped oval from Basic Black card stock.
  19. Adhere sentiment oval to Basic Black oval using Dimensionals.
  20. Adhere to the card base making sure Dimensionals are only on the right hand side of the label.
  21. Cut Basic White card stock 4" x 5 1/4"
  22. Stamp sheep in bottom right corner.
  23. Colour using Smoky Slate Blends.
  24. Adhere to card base.

    3. Great minds think alike Melva - the party-going sheep is just perfect for this week's board- I love it and those coloured balloons really pop against the black and white colour scheme. Thanks for the warm FF welcome - looking forward to creating with you!
