Elephant Parade - Faux Step Card

Do you like making fancy fold cards? I do and the Faux Step Card is one of my favourites. It's so quick and easy compared to a regular step card where you have to figure out how to cut and score a single piece of paper so that it folds into a step card. I don't see "three dimensionally" so I always struggle with this. Here's an easy way to create a Step Card.

Instructions

Cut Thick Basic White card stock 5 1/2" x 8" and score at 1", 2" and 5" along the 8" side.
Fold on score line to form a mountain peek on the 1" score line, valley with the 2" score line and mountain with the 5" score line.
Cut Designer Series Paper 7/8" x 5 1/4" and adhere to 1" flap
Cut Designer Series Paper 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to the main body of the card base.
Cut Parakeet Party card stock 3" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4"
Emboss the front of the Parakeet Party using the Fern Embossing Folder.
Adhere to the bottom flap on the front of the card and on the back of the card base.
Cut out Basic White card stock from 3rd largest square from Stylish Shapes Die
Stamp sentiment in bottom right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Stamp elephant using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Colour using Stampin' Blends - Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake
Cut Smoky Slake card stock 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Adhere stamped image to Smoky Slate card stock
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals.
Tie ribbon around Parakeet Party flap and tie a bow.
Adhere embellishments.
