Creativity Abounds Blog Hop - November 2022 - Gift Packaging

Time for another Creativity Abounds Blog Hop! We are a group of very keen Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can inspire you to make creations of your own. You may be starting here or you may have come from someone else's blog - either way there is a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. This month we're featuring Gift Packaging. I've used the Stampin' Up! Santa Express Suite and created a Pop Up Gift Bag Card using a template from Rachel Tessman. I love how this card turned out and I know it's going to be a fun way to give Gift Cards. Wouldn't you love to receive this!

Instructions (Check out my Video Tutorial for tips and tricks)

Cut Mint Macaron cardstock 5 1/2" x 9" and score at 3 1/4" and 7 1/2". Fold on scorelines and burnish with Bone Folder.
Cut Poppy Parade cardstock 3 1/8" x 5 3/8"
Cut Designer Series Paper 3" x 5 1/4"
Adhere Designer Series Paper to Poppy Parade cardstock
Adhere to the front left flap
Cut 2 pieces of Poppy Parade cardstock 1 3/8" x 5 3/8"
Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper 1 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Adhere Designer Series Paper to Poppy Parade cardstock
Adhere to the front right flap - front and back sides
Cut Basic White cardstock 3" x 5 1/4"
Stamp sentiment using Poppy Parade ink
Adhere to inside of card aligned with right score line
Cut Designer Series Paper 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to the left edge of the card base
Cut Vellum Cardstock 4" x 10 1/2"
Score on the side at 1/2", 1", 5", 5 1/2", 6" and 10"
Turn and score along long edge at 1/2" on one side and 1" on the other side
Cut the notches from the vellum as shown in the image below
Fold the bag together and poke holes just below 1" score line on both sides at 1" and 3"
Cut 2 pieces of Twine 4" long
Put twine through holes and adhere using Tear & Tape Adhesive on both sides
Secure with Tear and Tape Adhesive
Fold the 1" flap down over the twine.
Add Tear and Tape adhesive to the 2 bottom flaps
Adhere side together using Tear & Tape Adhesive
Adhere the Gift Bag to the card base with middle on each side of left score line.
Cut Poppy Parade cardstock 1 1/4" x 11"
Adhere Designer Series Paper 1" x 11"
Adhere to Poppy Parade cardstock
Fold around the card base and adhere together with the seam in the front. Do not fold too tightly.
Cut out Santa Train from Designer Series Paper
Adhere to the Belly Band
Stamp puffs of smoke on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Colour using Smoky Slate Marker or Blends
Cut out and adhere to card base.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.

You can join my club monthly. If you join for 6 consecutive months and get a swag bag valued at $25 from me as a gift.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
