Casually Crafting Blog Hop - August 2023

I'm back with another casual card for the Casually Crafting Blog Hop. We're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that love to stamp and love to share. We share card and projects that are simple and easy to create with a few products and are perfect for the beginner and casual stamper. Our blog hop goes live on the third Saturday of each month. I hope you'll join us and "hop" around our group to be inspired!

This month we were challenged with a Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I chose the middle horizontal row - Masking, Red and Layers. I had an idea for masking with the Trucking Along Stamp Set, so this challenge was perfect! What would you choose?

Isn't this a fun card in Pool Party and red. I masked the trees behind the truck and love how it turned out.

Instructions

Cut Pool Party cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Vellum 4" x 5 1/4"
Adhere to card base
Wrap ribbon around card base and tie a bow on the right hand side
Cut Real Red cardstock 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"
Cut Basic White 3" x 4 1/4"
Stamp sentiment in top right corner using Real Red ink
Stamp truck on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Stamp truck on Masking Paper using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Cut out the truck on the lines
Remove some of the stickiness from the Masking Paper by rubbing on clothing.
Lightly stick onto stamped truck on Basic White cardstock
Stamp trees behind truck using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Stamp branches using Garden Green ink
Colour trunks using Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends or Marker.
Remove Masking Paper and stamp body of truck using Real Red ink
Stamp tires using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Stamp ground using Tuxedo Black Memento inkk
Adhere to Real Red cardstock
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere Black Sparkle Gems
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp tree in bottom right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Stamp branches using Garden Green ink
Adhere to the inside of the card

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature. You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon or embossing folder. Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.
