Stamping With Friends Blog Hop - Fracture Card

Today I'm hopping with the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop.  We're sharing projects featuring an Shutter or Fracture Card.   These are so fun to make!  Make sure you hop from my post to all of the others and check out the great cards!

I had never made a fracture or shutter card even though I've seen them shared by other Demonstrators.  They are so fun and so easy to make.  They look much harder to make than they are!

Check out my pretty card featuring the Stampin' Up! Winter Meadow Bundle and Designer Series Paper.  Love the colours in this paper!


  1. Cut Blueberry Bushel cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form cardbase.
  2. Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
  3. Cut 4 pieces of Blueberry Bushel cardstock 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  4. Cut square from Basic White cardstock using largest square Stylish Shape Die
  5. Stamp stems on square using Smoky Slate ink stamped off
  6. Adhere to the Designer Series Paper on an angle about 1/2" from top.
  7. Adhere one 1/4" strip of Blueberry Bushel on one side of square leaving a small gap.
  8. Adhere second strip butted up against edge of adhere strip
  9. Adhere third strip butted against second strip
  10. Cut final strip to fit in gap and adhere
  11. Cut out stem from Blueberry Bushel cardstock using Die
  12. Cut boughs from Shaded Spruce cardstock using Die
  13. Adhere to square.
  14. Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Blueberry Bushel ink
  15. Cut out using Paper Snips
  16. Cut 4" of ribbon and fold in half
  17. Adhere to stems
  18. Adhere sentiment over ribbon and stems using Dimensionals
  19. Adhere Gems
  20. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  21. Cut Designer Series Paper 3/4" x 4"
  22. Adhere to bottom of Basic White cardstock
  23. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail.  Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.  You will make 3 cards with envelopes and receive 1/2 package of Designer Series Paper, package of Embellishments and a roll of ribbon or embossing folder.  Cost is $45 In Person (or local pick up) and $50 mailed.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm.  Space will be limited to 3 people per class and masks will be mandatory (as well as any other requirements announced by the Provincial Health Officer).
