Technique Tuesday Blog Hop - Punches

Today I'm hopping with Stamping Demonstrators from around the world sharing "punch technique" cards. When I saw this little card in the Curved Occasions Bundle and the curved punch I immediately thought of a spinner card.

Check out this fun spinner card in Pool Party. Looks like a retro VW Bug Convertible to me. I had to go digging through my change for some US pennies. We don't have pennies anymore in Canada, but I had some in my change from a recent trip for Stampin' Up! BackStage. If you don't have pennies, you can use washers or even stacked Thick cardstock to create the spinner.

Instructions

Cut Early Espresso cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Pool Party cardstock 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"
Punch the curve on one side and then turn the cardstock 180 degrees and punch again with the ends lined up - this creates the "s" swoop.
Emboss using Raindrop Embossing folder
Adhere to the card base using Dimensionals
Get 2 pennies or 2 washers or 2 stacks of thick cardstock cut in small circles.
Put one through the opening made by the punch
Adhere 2 stacked Dimensionals on Penny/Washer/Cardstock
Adhere second penny/washer/cardstock on top
Stamp card on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Colour with Stampin' Blends - Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate
Cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere to the Penny/Washer/Cardstock using a Dimensional
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Punch out using curve punch
Adhere to cardbase using Dimensionals
Adhere Glitter Sequins
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp card in bottom right corner
Colour with Stampin' Blends - Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate
Adhere to the inside of the card.
