Technique Squad Blog Hop - Faux Watercolor

Welcome to the Technique Squad Blog Hop! Each month we hop to share a different technique with you in hopes to inspire you to give it a try! This month the technique is Faux Watercolouring.

Watercolouring techniques are my favourite. I think water colouring makes me feel like an artist! I used the Layering Leaves Stamp Set and the Bough Die on today's card and also shared some splattering techniques. Isn't this pretty in all of the greens?

Instructions

Cut Parakeet Party cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline to form cardbase.
Cut Pretty Peacock cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
Emboss using the Fern Embossing Folder
Mix White Kraft ink with water and then splatter on Pretty Peacock cardstock using a Paint Brush or Water Painter.
Stamp leaf images on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. For 2 of them, spritz the paper first before stamping in Parakeet Party and Pretty Peacock ink. For the other 2, ink the leaf image first and then spritz before stamping on paper.
Let dry then punch out using Bough Punch
Adhere leave to card base
Zig Zag 12" of ribbon and adhere to card base
Cut Parakeet Party 1 1/4" x 3 3/4"
Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 1" x 3 3/4"
Stamp sentiment on Basic White cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink
Adhere to Parakeet Party cardstock
Adhere to card base over leaves using Dimensionals
Adhere Old Olive embellishments
Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp leave in bottom right corner
Adhere to inside of card.
