Technique Squad Blog Hop - March 2024

Welcome to the Technique Squad Blog Hop! Each month we hop to share a different technique with you in hopes to inspire you to give it a try! This month the technique is "Stained Glass".

I made this pretty card using the Stampin' Up! Nature's Sweetness Product Suite. One of my favourites from the Stampin' Up! Jan to Apr Mini Catalogue. I like to colour on both sides of the vellum to make the colour a little more intense. I also added some splattering using Stampin' Blends. Isn't this pretty!

Instructions

Cut Old Olive cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Gold Foil 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper 3 3/4" x 5"
Use Blending Brush to apply some Old Olive ink to Designer Series Paper.
Splatter using Old Olive Stampin' Blends
Stamp vellum using Versamark. Sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder. Heat to melt
Cut out using Die
Colour back and front of vellum using Stampin' Blends - Old Olive for leaves, Calypso Coral for flowers and Pecan Pie for pods.
Adhere to card base using Glue Dots.
Cut Basic White cardstock 1/2" x 4"
Stamp sentiment using Old Olive ink
Trim ends
Adhere to card base using Mini Dimensionals
Adhere Cork Rounds
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Stamp image in bottom right corner using Old Olive ink
Adhere to inside of card.

Techniques Across the Border

Join Lorraine and I and learn (or learn more) about a new technique each month. Our class will be held via Zoom on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am Pacific. We will explore the technique and make 4 projects in each class.

There are 2 options for each class:

Option 1 - Class Cost $45 and includes 4 projects and a selection of supplies you need to make the projects

You need Embossing Powder and Versamark for this class - Class Cost FREE with an order of at least $45 before shipping and taxes

Registration for each class closes on the last Wednesday of the month.

If you can't join the class live, you will get a copy of the recorded video.

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.

The In Person classes will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 12noon or 1-3pm. Space will be limited to 4 people per class.
