Time for another Creativity Abounds Blog Hop!  We are a group of very keen Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all around the world who are coming together to share our creative ideas with you. We are happy that you can join us and hope that we can inspire you to make creations of your own. You may be starting here or you may have come from someone else's blog - either way there is a list at the end of this post to help you move around all the different blogs and get many amazing ideas. We all have our country listed - so if you are looking for a demonstrator in your country, these demonstrators would love to look after you with your Stampin' Up!® shopping or if you would like to join our Stampin' Up!® teams.

Here's our amazing Creativity Abounds Design Team!

This month our theme is Techniques!  It was so fun to pick a technique and make 2 cards and then create a video that is included in our tutorial on how to do the technique.  I chose Whitewash as I love how this looks on large floral images.  When I saw the new Layers of Beauty Stamp Set in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue I knew I was going to use this technique.

Here's the pretty card I created with Black Cardstock.  Isn't it pretty!

Instructions

  1. Cut Basic Black cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
  2. Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card base
  3. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  4. Stamp flower image using Versamark and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder
  5. Heat to melt using Heat Tool.
  6. Cut out using Die
  7. Mix 2 drops of White Craft ink with water using WaterPainter.  This needs to be quite running
  8. Colour flowers using ink mixture
  9. Let dry
  10. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
  11. Stamp sentiment on Basic Black cardstock using Versamark ink
  12. Heat to melt using Heat Tool.
  13. Cut out using Paper Snips
  14. Cut 2 1/2" of ribbon
  15. Adhere sentiment to ribbon
  16. Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
  17. Adhere embellishements
  18. Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
  19. Stamp flower in bottom right corner using Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  20. Adhere to the inside of the card

Here's a sneak peek of the card in my tutorial.  The tutorial is for sale in my Online Store or you can get it for free with an order of $50 or more during May!

You can find all of the supplies for this card in my Online Store starting on May 1st when the new catalogue goes live.

  1. It is a very pretty technique, Melva and one I've not much used. I really like the contrast of the black floral spray against that lovely ombre paper in the background too.
