Lovely & Sweet Collage Card

One of my favourite techniques is emboss resist and for my card today I paired it with a Collage card. I love how it turned out with the gold heat embossed image.

Collage is such an easy technique and creates a lovely background for a card. I added the emboss resist image to add a focal point to the card. Lots of gold on this card! The Stampin' Up! Nature's Sweetness Suite was one of my favourites from the Jan to Apr Mini Catalogue and I'm excited that this stamp set and it's coordinating dies and the Designer Series Paper carried over. Yay!

Instructions

Cut Pebbled Path cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish on scoreline using Bone Folder to form card base.
Cut Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5"
Cut Gold Foil 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Stamp large image using Versamark on Basic White cardstock
Sprinkle with Gold embossing powder and heat to melt
Use Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie ink over embossed image.
Add a little Pebbled Path ink using Blending Brush (my card has darker splotches - not sure what I had on my blending brush!)
Stamp additional images using Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie (stamped off)
Rub off excess ink using Paper Towel
Adhere to Gold Foil
Adhere to Designer Series Paper
Wrap ribbon around bottom of the card and tie a small bow
Adhere to Card Base
Stamp sentiment on Pebbled Path cardstock using Versamark.
Sprinkle with Gold embossing powder
Heat to melt
Cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere to card base using Dimensionals
Adhere Pebbled Path Dots
Cut Basic White cardstock 4" x 5 1/4"
Cut Designer Series Paper 3/4" x 4"
Adhere to bottom of Basic White cardstock
Adhere to inside of card

Techniques Across the Border

Join Lorraine and I and learn (or learn more) about a new technique each month. Our class will be held via Zoom on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9:30am to 11:30am Pacific. We will explore the technique and make 4 projects in each class.

There are 2 options for each class:

Monthly Card Club

I'm excited to be offering a Monthly Card Club either In Person or by mail. Each month I will select a stamp set or bundle to feature.
